    On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
    If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8.

    Thank you for watching guys, I hope all of you who wanted an F-22 Differential Thrust dogfights are satisfied with this one. The Flanker is no push over in a dogfight but the F-22 with thrust vectoring is already so dominant that differential thrust doesn't seem to do a whole lot. Anyway thank you for watching and thank you for the suggestions, keep them coming. Much Love.

    As someone who followed the YF-22 and YF-23 in their development, and eventually worked for 7 years on the F-22 itself, i can say that the F-22 was designed with dogfighting in mind, based on the data of our previous generations of aircraft. F-4s were designed without guns because "dogfighting is obsolete" yet they were winding up getting into dogfights. Every Fighter aircraft that we have, F-16, F-15, F-22 and F-35 are built around the idea "Eventually you're going be in this situation" instead of "you'll never be in this situation."

    • @Demane69
      @Demane69 Před rokem +36

      I think it may have more to do with the difference in computer control and design. Old school fighters benefit from every mechanical advantage you can throw at it. The computer makes the F-22 perform beyond human control as it is, which is reflective in it's design as well.

      yeah this is what i said. Same reason as if you lose thrust on a trijet, like a dc-10 or a L1011 since the engines are close together losing thrust in one doesnt throw the plane off really. As opposed to wing mounted jets with engines far apart, they need to do alot of retrimming and correcting the stick constantly to keep it flying straight.

      @darthsarcastus1064 Před rokem +6

      Goes to show what digital controls and fly by wire can do versus older technology. Split throttling in an F-14 could induce a flat spin, many newer fighters can compensate for this with computer controlled control surfaces and better training for pilots.

      I think there was an F22 vs SU57 video out there. I think the problem with the SU57 is that there are so few of them and they haven't been effectively put into service and couple that with the fact that last I heard, they were not fitted with the engine they wanted to use in them, and thus, I doubt DCS has an accurate representation of it. When you fly the F22 you need to tie both your legs to the chair, one hand behind your back, turn your chair 90° to the monitor and wear an eye patch over your dominant eye. Give the other pilots a fighting chance. 😂😂😂

    I can see the Cobra being useful to save your ass when you have a wingman nearby that can engage immediately after .

    After the Cobra, the Flanker was fighting for it's life just to not bellyflop on the ground. He lost so much speed...
    Pure airshow maneuver, not for combat 😄

    I can only assume that the guy who said the F22 can’t dog fight got it confused with the F35.

      @@DefinitelyNotEmma based on pilot interviews since the F-35 received updates enabling it's true capabilities it seems they would take the F-35 over any other aircraft other than the F-22 with regards to dog fighting. It seems many in the general public are still hung up on the performance of the F-35 when it was software limited and don't realize it is an entirely different beast at this point.

    That was a Hollywood F14-strength Flanker for a few fights.

    The F-22 against anything is like Mike Tyson fighting the world toughest toddler.🫣

    The F-22 is simply ridiculous!! It’s like trying to take MJ23 - in his prime - one on one.
