Diving Cenote “Carwash” | Tulum, Mexico

Carwash cenote is aptly called that because it was once used by taxi drivers to wash their cars with.
At a certain time of the year, the cenote actually turns blood red. I didn't see this when I was there but you can google pictures.
I went diving with nomaddiving.com and they provided excellent service. There is an additional fee to dive paid to the owners of the cenote.
A truly unique experience after all my previous diving was saltwater and open ocean or sea caves.
I had never done cavern diving before this but I loved it. Located in Tulum, Mexico.

The water is so heavy it’s almost impossible to float

Unfortunately the cenotes are getting extreme levels of bacteria now very harmful for people. I have been to the car wash and 50 plus other ones
