Joliette is a Mexican hardcore band. Frontman Fernando Obregon delivers harsh, guttural screams in his native tongue to add an exotic spin on the genre. This approach is where Joliette’s unique appeal lies. They’re incredibly tight, perfection-driven performers who were forced to hone chops in order to break out of a competitive urban scene. Their breakdowns, chugs, and solos are tinged with danceable edge; the kind of foot-stomping that accompanies backyard hangouts guised in dingy basement wear. Joliette employs an array of influences; stark and unpredictable transitions range from deep post-rock builds, to jazzy chords, to crunchy, gnarled distortion. Watch the quartet perform tracks from their incredible debut album, Principia, along with some fresh b-sides.

I'm from a town called Joliette from Quebec, Canada.
I discovered this band many years ago while searching for local bands!

J'etais á Rivière-du-Loup, et aussi Je suis alle a Montreal, a la Ville de Quebec et a Toronto aussi, J'aime bien l'accent quebecois. Quebec C'est tres calme et joli, Je me souviens
I had never heard of these guys until they did a co-headlining tour with another UK band I was putting on in my hometown. They melted my face off live and since then I've been in love with them. Post-hardcore so technical to the point where it makes you want to emotionally break down and cry. I love it.

Easily the best hardcore band in latinamerica, seen this band countless times live, so sad they've separated, but still the best band here in Audiotree.

Is so good too, dude is a natural. Amazing range. Best spanish skramz in my book i can see why loma prieta are hyping them. I consider them as more hardcore/screamo.

This band makes me as proud as the band where I was born "Here Come The Kraken" from Aguascalientes, Mexico. It is great to see Mexican bands succeed in these genres.
