Me too, I’m kinda surprised Nexomon Extinction didn’t make the list, it’s a tremendous game. Monster Crown was pretty broken when I last tried it, but perhaps I’ll revisit it.
Yes it is, defienitily Nexomon 1. 2 is good too and can't wait Nexomon 3 what's Gonna Be an Open-World! 😮

Yo-Kai Watch definitely deserved to be on this list. An underrated gem in my opinion.
That and Monster Rancher.
Yeah i was kinda bummed that Yokai watch didn't show up. Same with Monster Rancher also.
Its only been 5 days and palworld has sold 7m copies given the budget for it was only $6.75m to make and has smashed all steam records for current player count and is 2nd for peak player count, im willing to bet its gonna be the best selling game of 2024
You guys forgot Nexomon and Coromon! Nexomon already has 2 games out, with the 3rd on the way. And Coromon is a respectable game for Switch and Mobile devices.
absolutely gotta put spectrobes on this list, a space cop creature battle/management? and you could even color your spectrobes based on pitch level when you awakened them among other things like higher stats and custom parts that changed their appearance/how they fought
Nexomon Coromon and now Palworld I would recommend if you like Pokèmon.
I was realy happy with world of final fantasy but when they explained in maxima that when you catch a monster you dont get it but instead a copy of it breaking the illusion that you are his master

This list missed out Dragon Quest / Dragon Warrior spin-off games where you also tame and collect monsters
Looked more like Cyber Sleuth than Digimon World. Preferred cyber sleuth hackers memory anyway
But monster hunter stories was the best. It may not be advanced and one takes the same monstie, but it’s a franchise I would have wanted to see more
I liked cyber sleuth better too. I found raising the digimon in that little village to be a pain in the ass so I dropped next order.
I’ve played Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth Complete Edition, but they are showing more of Cyber Sleuth Hacker’s Memory than Digimon World Next Order.
I tried next order and it waw just kind of frusterating for me. I never got them to digivolve like I wanted them too.
Cyber Sleuth is good I do enjoy it, but the story can be a bit of a drag. I just wanna hang with my digimon >_
@@Phantomsangel while I never played the other Digimon games other then the Cyber Sleuth, preferably Hackers Memory I enjoyed the digievolutions. The only real furstration for me was the long method it tooks to grind and build ABI. Granted there was no rule no one needed it to go 200 so that just became a bad habit of mine to do for reasons. Long and not so flexible.
Not a perfect game but for a Digimon game it did a lot of things right.
Now, they only need to create something similair. Story wise I am not expecting big. I just want more digimon and easier method to evolve.

Evocreo, Coromon, Nexomon 1 and 2 Can't Wait 3, Monster Hunter Stories 1 and 2, Yokai Watch 2 Bony Spirits, Temtem, Casette Beasts and Palworld are my FAVOURITE Pokémon-like Monster Tamer Games Defienitily last Year's one of the GREATEST Games Casette Beasts what's like an Old Classic Pokémon Game like Pokémon Black and White but with a Double Battles, it have a Voice Acting and even a BEAUTIFUL Singing too. My New FAVOURITE Game is PALWORLD what's like The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild x Fortnite x Valheim x Pokémon Defienitily it's More like a Pokémon with Guns, in my opinion Palworld's Name would Be Gunmon because it's just like a Pokémon with GUNS. It's Crazy idea but works Surprisilly Good, I've been Played Palworld since it's Launch in Last Week's Friday 19.1.2024 5 Days, with PALWORLD Time is Running so Fast WOW! 😮

The genre is monster tamer. Pokemon popularized it, but every subsequent game in the genre is not a clone.
Cubix Robots For Everyone (2003) Based On the Kids WB\4Kids TV series from the early 2000's I watched this alot 2 decades ago

Out of all of this list, ill take Digimon Cyber Sleuth/Next Order and Ni no Kuni.
What i do still wanna try in the future be Cassette Beat, and Monster Sanctuary, World of Final Fantasy and Monster Crown.

I played Digimon DS , I have Ni no Kuni DS , I want to play Temtem and Palworld . Temtem has you constantly connected to the internet and I don't have the console for Palworld . Kingdom Hearts 3D kind of has that , I have it . ❤ 😊

It's weird that out of all the Monster Catching games, they didn't include the one game series that outsold Pokemon for years, Yo-Kai Watch
Coromon has a lot of potential, but the typing list is way too short and the story/world feels somewhat small in comparison to Gen-III-Era Pokémon games.
The world needs more Monster Taming Games

You mentioned "Digimon World: Next Order" yet the first clip you showed was from "Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Hacker's Memory"..... eh okay, at least you mentioned in the end.
It wasn't that popular but I loved Robopon 2 cross and ring versions.
Rune Factory = Pokémon +Harvest Moon.
Azure Dreams = Pokémon + Dungeon hunter.
Dragon Warriors Monsters 2, Nexomon Extinction very missing an very fun.
The digimon and monster hunter stories is one of the the most popular pokemon clones , but i think the lego series is a pokemon clone in a sense
@hollywalker7221 well it has some similarities with pokemon but it has some differences too, the protagonists : ash ketchum and friends get more then one, while digimon heros get only one ( although Willis from the first digimom movie gets 2 and one season has them getting more than that.) How the monsters In the games live, pokemon generally get along pretty well for the most part while digimon has a survival of the fittest sort of thing going on, pokemon stays pretty much the same while digimon trys something different everyone in awhile( digimon survive is a letteral horror show ) . Need I go on?

No, that game focuses on platforming and NOT on collecting monsters to battle among your side. Plus, THAT GAME IS SO F***ING BAD!!!

Shin Megami Tensei series and Dragon Quest 5. Both games that heavily inspired Pokemon and not just capturing them all, but you physically fight alongside your captured monsters is another major different. SMT is also even darker and more mature themed than Digimon.
They left out SMT because they suck at the games and don't even pay respect to the origins of the monster collecting genre lol
@@martinde-serres8724 Yet they put SMTV on the top 10 hardest Nintendo Switch games list while citing it not being as hard as other SMT games. They also put Demi-Fiend as hardest superboss on all of gaming usually.

For anyone knowledge digimon is a spin off on tamagochi, yes digimon is vpet first before they move on creating a video game all digimon don't have capture system like pokemon, example is digimon cyber stories games which you scan a digimon and if you reach 200% or 100% you can create that digimon in the digilab there is no capturing involve also yes you have a party of digimon because its a rpg, all rpg has a party system, so the list should not put digimon on the list because digimon is not like pokemon, some digimon games don't let you have other digimon example is digimon world the very first one if your digimon died you will avail a new digimon by getting a new egg from old man looking digimon which you need to raise it again, next thing if its like pokemon games they should have 1 an item or items that able to capture the monster 2 there is trony and 3 they have prof character that will meet from the very start that will give you the first monster you will be using, digimon those not have those.

Palworld is a disgrace. It ripped off multiple games including pokemon instead of being original. The creators have no integrity and no respect. Palworld is one of the worst and laziest games to this day.
