      Hehe, really? It is really useful indeed. What I like the most, that it is non-destructive and customizable. Very handy for the client work.

    Which brush you used for bloom effect?

  • @Raid_
    @Raid_ Před měsícem

    I was wondering what brush u used in the very beginning?

    • @PolyPaint
      @PolyPaint  Před měsícem

      In the beginning I'm using simple round brush with pressure sensitivity enabled for opacity only (brush size doesnt change when i press harder on a pen). Tbh the default round brushes do 90% of work most of the time for me. Everything else is case based stuff like fog, textures, grunge etc.

    • @PolyPaint
      @PolyPaint  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Thanks a lot. I used fairly simple soft brush with either linear or exponential falloff. Similar to one in this image ( top left image) : geom.io/bakery/wiki/images/thumb/b/b3/Falloff_comp.png/300px-Falloff_comp.png

    @meccool3976 Před 2 lety

    it looks awesome but it's maybe something you can do only with a tablet and a pen with the differences of pressure on the brush, i'm trying to do that with my mouse but the result doesn't like that :(

    • @PolyPaint
      @PolyPaint  Před 2 lety

      Yes, it is always harder to do using mouse. I would suggest buying a graphical tablet if you are interested in drawing.

    • @PolyPaint
      @PolyPaint  Před 2 lety +2

      Thanks! I did most of the painting using simple round brush. I only used custom brush to make the bloom effect.
      Something similar to this - i.stack.imgur.com/pOaRp.png
      It has bright center and non-linear gradient to the edge of the brush, making it more smooth.

    im confused / ive place all layers exacly how you have but when i go to paint it bleeds onto the background , any ideas why this is happening ?

    • @PolyPaint
      @PolyPaint  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi, it bleed onto background in my case too, I am just making manual gradient from the edge of the silhouette. You can use masks or selection to limit the area where you want to draw. If you have an object in a separate layer, press Ctrl and click on the layer thumbnail. This will select opaque pixels and now you can paint inside the silhouette. I hope this helps!

    • @PolyPaint
      @PolyPaint  Před rokem

      Gradient map remaps color to those, according to the gradient you've chosen. To make Black stay Black, left value of the Gradient Map should be Black. This way, it will change all the rest colors only.

    For videogame characters (notably MUGEN) this tutorial would help create the lighting mask effect on a character's body when he uses an energy or magic projectile? I mean, in this Mortal Kombat game, where Sektor gets an orange lighting from the fire of his missiles and Sub-Zero has a bluish lighting when he shoots his ice-based attacks: czcams.com/video/0Evg6E5AO0o/video.html&ab_channel=Gus-G
