couldnt imagine being able to play games from 2009 with a graphics card from the 90s, gpus really do last a lot longer now
the GTX 1080 ti changed all that
970 was my first gpu a few years ago and I want to buy one for my brother
I had two of these g1 gamings in SLI in 2015 they were absolute beasts ended up selling both of them in 2016 for a 1070 FE
1070 FE absolutely a Legend gaming GPU from pascal period,
It was awesome Gaming GPU at that year, I never try 1070 , but I ever experienced it on my Friend PC using 1070ti, beast GPU!!
Great video! i`ll give it 3.5/4
Nice one😆
my 4gb gtx 960 has the same design as this 😄 the 970 aged so much better
I have to be brutally honest. This card was the heart of my $150 gaming build challenge. In the end, I just could not do it.
I tried every which way to justify it. I guess I expected too much. gigabyte g1 gaming 970 I bought for $40
It works fine. You just dont have a brain.
Due to the plummeting price of used 10 series cards many will overlook the 970 and 980 but they're very similar and there's opportunity to save £10-£30 if it matters. I think the 1080 is currently the extreme bargain though.
awesome, I picked up 2 of the exact same model to put in some budget builds paired with some aliexpress cpu+ram combos
It's a great GPU for the price right now. I think I'll continue to use them myself for flips until they aren't getting updated driver support
just put together a secondary market build for sub $200 with a GTX 970 & Ryzen 7 1700, really excited to finally get it running tonight after this video ! thanks my guy
GTX 970 G1 Gaming in SLI was my last SLI build. Great cards. Gaming back then was awesome. I miss SLI builds.
Thanks for making this video 😅 i wanted to buy it for a budget pc
It's total 4 gigs usable, 3.5 fast, 0.5 slow. If not it would be 224bit bus width.
My "Palit GTX750Ti StormX O.C. dual 4GB " still works great after 10 years. With FSR it has returned to new life. Nice video 🙂
I bought the same Gigabyte windforce 970. It came with a copy of Assassin's Creed Unity and it looked amazing. Great card at the time.
GTX 970 and 1060 absolutely a G.O.A.T GPU include (high end Series 980ti and 1080ti + 1070ti)
Back on 2015 I was hype about nvidia Releasing GTX 980ti, around that year also I'm already having GTX 960 EVGA SC ACX 2.0 4GB VRAM variant.
sadly my GTX 960 is broken, Cause I'm soo stupid when cleaning and re-paste GTX 960 it went fall from from my hand (after all fan and get attached to GPU Mainboard) It slippery :)
and yeah 2022 I'm re-built my Gaming RIG using i5-10400f and yeah pascal 1050ti (best GPU for me but the price was insane back on 2022 it cost me 220$ for a single Fan 1050ti from gainward)
2024 I'm going to upgrade my PC using RTX 4070ti but the price is getting cooked on my country.. so Decide using RX 6700XT as Final solutions 210$ second in hand
most games support non supported drivers too
@@lucasrem Yes!
I had that exact Gigabyte G1 model, got an EVGA SSC for SLI later. Good times.
I'm still using my gtx 970 asus strix, absolutely no issues with it.
Never had issues, no coilwhine, it was cheap when I bought it "around 300 bucks" and I got all batman games on the steam library FOR FREE (arkham knight just released when I bought it and was promoted with the card)
before that I had a gtx 660, which I sold for 180 bucks
Easily the best puchase I've done
I have a 960 4gb, it holds up pretty well for what I want it to do, can even run cyberpunk at low-medium settings pretty well.
I got a 980ti, im putting in an egpu setup since I got it cheap with a t14 gen2 thinkpad.
U should always display the clocks, those make a BIG difference in performance.
Love that gpu, it carried me during quarantine
If you are ok with console like experience, you can still play the latest games at 1080p low with a decade old (upper)mid-range GPU. Wow
God I hate the 1060, the 970 was my firt proper gpu when I bought an used one back in 2018 and it was always compared to the 1060 6gb which made me feel jelous xd, btw you should cover the 5700xt best 200$~ card atm imo
(EDIT its Deepcool not Thermaltake)
I have the GTX 970 Windforce as Spare GPU that is planned to be given to a Friend, once I finished upgrading my PC and putting my Old Parts into a new Case for him. However now I need to find a new CPU Cooler as it turns out few Weeks ago Deepcool got sanctioned from US shops, and one of the coolers was on my List for a Friend. Now I have to search for a new one...
Hold on Thermaltake also got sanctioned now or are you talking about Deepcool?
@@h.b.5577 yeah I'm a Fucking idiot idk why I came to the name Thermaltake...
It's was Deepcool which one product I put on my Wishlist disappeared. It was the Assassin I model to be precise.
My fault, thank you very much for correcting me!
@@sihocolus Oh good to hear! With all the sanctions flying around these days got real concerned they got themselves on the chopping board as well...
this is really not worth it not gonna lie
