Honestly I’d buy Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn just to listen to the amazing soundtrack.
You might want to look for the game's OST online instead, but if you want the game, I respect your decision.

The "definitive" versions, you say? Sorry, but I would still take their console versions over these handheld ports any day. I've played Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn all the way through, and I honestly prefer the original Wii version. Not only does the original look better visually, you can also play co-op with a friend, something the 3DS version cannot do. Same with Poochy and Yoshi's Woolly World; I would gladly play the Wii U original.
The added abilities not only take away what made the original version unique, but also make the game a lot easier

since these are easy, feel good games I like to play with my mom which you can't do on 3ds so I like the Wii and Wii U versions of the games more
Personally I wouldn't consider Yoshi's Woolly World on the 3DS the definitive version as the graphics are very noticeably downgraded from the Wii U's HD graphics. You do get a few nice bonuses but I'm not sure if that's worth the significant loss of graphical detail. A switch port which retains the HD graphics as well as the additions from the 3DS version would be THE best version without a doubt.

Hard mode for that 3ds kirby yarn game was redundant and more annoying rather than challenging.
Pulled the old wii u out the other day and found out the battery in the screen exploded 😢😢

The visual downgrade for wooly world 3ds is pretty severe and the extra poochy levels don't quite add much value to the game to warrant it over the wiiU version.
Kinda of the same with epic yarn 3ds as well. The hard mode is kinda obnoxious and the game really isn't designed with that in mind. The 3ds version does make loads of levels easier because it adds new powerups.

They should port them to switch tho, especially the Yoshi one since it was on wii u (which sold horribly)
Probably because it was a Wii U game. The best selling Wii U game (Mario Kart 8) only sold like 15 million copies.

You did not just call extra epic yarn the better way to play it... if you actually knew anything about it, youd know that lovers of the original wii version all agreed the additional abilities and """hard mode""" sucked. And it looks so much better on wii, compared to 3ds. Its not the definitive addition to anyone whos a fan of that game.

I was contemplating whether I should get Epic Yarn on 3DS or Wii U 🤔 Already have Woolly World for Wii U so I’m good on that even though the desire is strong to get it on 3DS too..
Wii U. The 3DS version is basically unplayable with the many downgrades it has to visuals, gameplay, and frame rate.

Extra epic yarn is anything but the best version - the new powerups are just annoying and dilute the experience, and there’s not even a way to turn it off.
Not to mention both these demakes are the 2 ugliest 3DS games I own. They look like they’ve been deep fried.
Plus, that Devil is so annoying and there's no co-op

Honestly the hard difficulty of KEY isn’t good. Whenever the devil dude shows up it fucks with the music and he shows up constantly. If that didn’t happen I would have the game rn but otherwise I’d choose to play the Wii version regardless of the abilities and mini games

I’ll just wait for it to be on switch tbh. I played some Epic Yarn on Wii when I was really young so I don’t have the immediate need to play it again. Seeing as it’s a Wii game, it should come to switch at some point.
I’d rather play it in HD, and since I’d be playing the Wii version, I’d rather get a deluxe version with all the Extra features plus whatever else they add.
