Jackson, SC boat ramp is about 20 minutes from my house. Been there a lot with Jon Boat and/or kayak but never an overnight. Much prefer the Spring or Fall though. Summer, spend half the day searching for shade by the bank. Thanks for the video!
Man I can tell that was awesome trip. I know you had a good time. Seeing all the wildlife that's out there. I can't believe u saw 8 Gators out there. But I know they are all over. I want to kayak this section of River but I'm having problems with my feet swelling up on me and my wife thinks is not a good idea with the Gators there in the water in case I have a problem with my feet swelling up on me. Thank you for sharing your awesome trip I enjoy watching it. Looking forward to seeing you finish part 2.
@@joemckinley5692 oh yes I'm a get out there. I keep telling her that but you know how wife they worry. She's afraid my very wide feet is going to allow a gators to attack me. Me and a couple of bodies have plans to kayak this stretch of river. Do you still have plans to finish the rest of the trip out?
I live in the area you came out in. In port went worth if I'm not mistaken you were less then 20 miles but in a kayak after effingham til you get through the ports its tough when tides are coming in.
Very interesting video, I'm thinking of doing the savannah river trip this year, my dog and I, in a 15 ft aluminum boat. have figure how much fuel to go down and back up. Thanks again for the video!!!!!

Thanks Mack! The gators pretty much leave you alone...as soon as they see you they disappear. Hope you get a chance to run it someday!
