  • All I’ll say is this lady certainly went “above and beyond” what is expected of her at the workplace. After I left she proceeded to take a picture of me, for official bank records.

    Generally banks do not allow photography for security and confidentiality reasons. I would have started in the elevator. I’ve been busted at a Chase in San Diego once but it was handled professionally. As a person who works in the field of banking I understand why it would be not allowed but taking somebody’s picture without their permission when they didn’t do anything wrong is completely uncalled for. She should have simply escorted you off the property and told you not to come back.

      I rarely film elevators in banks. Because a lot of The Times the elevator opens up right into a safe deposit or an office.
      And the only reason why I rarely film elevators in banks because I had permission.

    Elevator photography is not a crime!!! That karen has no right to do what she did. I WILL AVOID BANKS FOR THIS REASON. That lady has no right of doing what she did, as she thinks it is a crime, I dont think it is. In her case, in my opinion, she should be fired and lose her job ALL BECAUSE OF THIS.

      I mean, she didn't yell at him. But she was a bit rude as she kept saying "YOU NEED TO LEAVE" Even as he was leaving. She kept saying "Go ahead and leave" and "Walk out". I can say she does need to be fired as she did that. But this is why I avoid banks as much as possible.

    Employees in any public property have every right to escort you out if recording is against the rules. But that lady was a bit unprofessional. Instead of simply just saying: “You need to leave.” She could’ve stated the reason why, and then saying: “I am going to ask you to please leave, if you are not here to business with us.” afterwards in a polite tone, rather than a sassy tone. Also her taking a picture was totally unnecessary. I understand if you were doing something more suspicious, but just for taking a video/pictures of the elevator?

    Ok, it’s understandable that Banks generally don’t allow photography on Their Properties, for safety of someone’s financial records, etc. But this “Karen” shouldn’t have taken Your photo for whatever Her reasoning is + You didn’t give Her consent to do so. Lastly, You’re most likely not even going back, since You got a video of the Elevator anyways. At least She didn’t yell.

  • @MilwaukeeCountyElevators
    @MilwaukeeCountyElevators Před 9 měsíci +3

    Bruh, this is how people these days get too hasty over this stuff that’s apparently harmless. I mean it’s understandable that there’s no business being made and if that’s so, then it’s simple enough to leave. But sometimes people like this Karen would rather think there’s nothing better to do than just thinking they have the right to have power over every single personal property that had nothing to do with anything bad, which is so stupid. And sometimes people tried to think it’s better for them to immediately keep us hostage just because of something innocent or just take a picture for nothing when they think it’s for a record. This situation happened to me before unfortunately and I know how it feels to be in this situation so I’m sorry you had to go through that. Hope this Karen can be just professional in the future. And this is a good reason why I stay out of filming banks unless if I have business there.

    I avoid filming elevators at the bank because there’s a lot of security and I know they wouldn’t allow photography and especially that’s almost like trespassing!, I would never film an elevator in the bank unless I’m permitted to do so

    I didn’t think she was really rude at all, banks generally forbid any photography in or around thier buildings. She sounded pleasant to me. You were classified as loitering in a bank. No, they do not allow that.

    "You need to leave" is acceptable but taking a picture of you, or anyone else for "official bank records" is too much. I think they're doing it to know who not to serve. It might be acceptable if an aggressive or violent behavior is done but in this case is just useless. I wouldn't film an elevator inside a bank anyway.

    I'm sorry, but I cannot blame the lady. Even if she's not a professional, she maybe still weary about the no photography thing. This is why a lot of us elevator enthusiasts do NOT film in Banks. They are security sensitive areas!
    But about the Karen? I may be a bit wrong. But I'm just stating my opinion before the actual fact.
