It’s such a beautiful place!
I loved the look of that wheel ever since I first saw it in Orson Wells classic movie The Third Man. I was lucky enough to ride I during its 100 year celebration back in 1997.

@@ThemeParkWorldwide I was surprised how old it was to be honest. And to be maintained too. It's fantastic that it's still standing after many years.
That wheel is so famous. I used to have an album by a certain German electronic band from the 80s and they were photographed inside one of the gondolas. Great vlog as ever Shawn and nice to see you are enjoying yourself over there in Austria👍

Just this week they replaced one of the gondola's with a transparent platform that you can ride standing on it wearing a harness. 🤯 it's for the 125th anniversary of the wheel.

the prater is culturally very important and dear to us austrians. yes it is not the biggest, newest park. but it got character 😂❤️

i went to vienna 2 years ago. Such a nice place, went to all the third man sites as its 1 of my favourite films and prater park is a amazing theme park very old school.

The foire de Nancy was the first time I actually paid per ride in cash. The Bayern Curve was so great I gave it a second go. Knoebles is kind of on the edge of my home region for doing in a day-better as an overnight or first or second park of a northward trip and if Knoebles can live up to 1/5-2/5 of that one, it will be worth going twice in a year every year (have only gone twice, May 2016 and June 2018, I think it's about time to go back)

Wow, that Terror train looks fantastic. That head smashing on the screen & spurting blood was really scary & disgusting.
There's one that similar in the UK -- is it somewhere down in the West somewhere? - can't remember. That one has a rabid child in a playpen - ghastly (but good. Lol)

What a great vlog! It's surprise me it had gondola I always thought those more of modern-day.lol I always thought the 2 seater wooden bench style seats were the original and maybe they were in the US I don't know I thought they were?

Looks very similar to the 1893 Columbian Exposition in Chicago(Worlds Fair) which was the first Ferris Wheel with a height of 263 ft., very nice Shawn!

The Giant Wheel reminds me of a scene in a movie called The Third Man. The gondolas look the same as the ones on the Ferris wheel in that movie.
Yeah, I am pretty sure it is the same wheel.

Unfortunately Charlotte can’t always join me on the trips due to her work schedule
Something new since a few weeks is the glass plattform on the Wiener Riesenrad where you can stand outside with climbing gear and take a round. The platform you can accually see in the vlog
