Is it possible to adjust the position of the covers so that the gaps are even? Both of my headlights are too far towards the outboard side leaving a huge gap towards the inboard side. Do you have a video, or do you know of a video describing how to make this type of adjustment(left or right)? Thank you!

Yes, there is some adjustment available. You have to loosen things up and then wedge it over and re-tighten. I will post a video when I put mine back together, but it will be awhile. Thanks for watching.

@@DickShaw in general, when you speak of loosening things up, would that be those three bolts on either side? With just those bolts out, would I then be able to nudge it over? Or, is there more to it?

Well it is supposed to be centered when installed with the factory components and there are not really any provisions for adjustment. But you can fudge it a little with some shims. Are your headlight buckets loose at all? Can you shift them side to side by hand. Just wondering if something came loose or is worn.

@@DickShaw Nothing is loose, 100% sure. This is a hot rod, so it was fully rebuilt. Nothing original, but it's a stunning car with a one piece reproduction front end. Wide body......everything else is absolutely perfect. I bought it as is a year ago, but the headlights being off center bugs me a little. I had taken out the headlight bulbs and removed those three screws on each side of the buckets, but it didn't seem to want to move as I had hoped. That's why I asked that question earlier.

It will be some trial and error and a big pain, but this is what I would do. Disassemble it and put a washer of the proper diameter and thickness on the outboard side between the ball/pivot assembly and the bucket. This should let it shift to the inside a bit. You might have to loosen the Y stop on the other side and let it slide over to accomodate this. Basically, just look at all the parts and determine where you need to put shims/washers to let it slide over. It's kind of hard to diagnose without being able to look at it.@@jpippy7
