As a former Goodwill employee of 5 years (was a manager for almost 2), he’d be a relief to see walk in to the store, in fact one you could strike conversation with, especially compared to the normal clientele (most people are either mean, violent, aggressive, leave messes, try to do drugs in fitting rooms, also shock lots of scamming/shoplifting. I worked in two different stores in Los Angeles, so even better picture.)
Gamers were actually some of the kindest and willing to spend (unless you run in to one that thinks the employee doesn’t understand games trying to scam a valuable game for less)
As for games like this they’d usually just sit there in the case collecting dust, until it was time to take them off the floor for salvage, so he’s actually helping the stores a bit by buying them and taking it off their hands. Less waste to fill in the limited bins/space employees are provided with (Many times there’s so much garbage the back room becomes a fire hazard because there’s no place to throw everything out until the next bin delivery) and helps the store make sales.
The only reason these games make it to the sales floor is 1. The product associate needs to make their daily $ goal of product pushed, and those little scanning tags track that employee (if I took one to the back, scanned it, I could see who priced it. I can also see how much product they pushed in a shift, and how much of their product sells. A good manager knows when there’s nothing to price and knows when it’s not the employee’s fault but mean managers forget it). They may price these games because they have nothing else to price to move that product, and if they constantly miss their goals they could get written up. 2. The manager on duty checking the product before it goes out knows nothing about games and software, most of these games wind up in salvage bins, never making it on the floor.
Tl;dr PBG supports recycling and his local thrift store by buying these unwanted games, plus gives the employees a break from what bullshit they’re usually used too. That concludes my Ted Talk.

I love how in Toads revenge, There’s Luigi who is talking like normal, and then there is just Mario who sounds the exact same as he does in that Super Mario World Cartoon.

I played that 3D Movie Maker game once when I was a kid and I thought it was so much fun. I tried to find it for years but couldn't even remember what it was called. So weird seeing it in a PBG video. Glad to see he appreciated it too. It was kind of a neat idea at the time when it came out.

spongebob typing actually seems pretty solid for a kids' typing game. it's got most of the original cast for voices, it looks how it's supposed to, the flimsy narrative could easily be something from the show, and the typing challenges relate back to spongebob episodes. if your kid liked spongebob back in 2002 this would've been a pretty solid way to help em learn
