Dan’s not gone? I just saw them in Denver,CO on 10/23/23 at the Summit Music Hall and they were better than ever! I’m with you though. I need Dan frontin this band! They are perfect together and I mean that literally! I still love this album! Skyharbor being one of my favorite songs of all time! My husband did a violin play along with them on our CZcams channel. It’s awesome if I do say so myself. 😂❤❤❤❤
I am in love with the spiritual and ethereal nature of this album 🤍✨🌌 It has accompanied me through darkness and light, through sleep and awareness. I am grateful it exists as it echos throughout my existence. 🕉️
I've seen a lot of people comparing this to Maeva, honestly this song is on a whole other level, Maeva is fantastic, but this song is a true masterpiece. The first time listening to this album was one of the most emotional experiences of my life, this is really is one of the best albums I've ever heard.
this song changed my life 5 years ago and it continues to do so today. there are no words to describe what it can do to you, if you let it. if you're ready for it. the entire universe is one living organism and you're a part of it.
+Dyllyo Totally agree. But it took the Beatles quite a few years before they caught on too, then, BAM! Has to happen, this music is so far advanced, people can't really quite comprehend it.
This came to me in the exact moment: "Bring some peace to my tired eyes. Take this higher when angels sing with voices of the night. I dream of endless light, a life I sacrificed. I walk through endless night. Then I'm gone again" Masteripiece of lyrics and music :(
This song, and the whole album, has become one of my absolute favourites during this past year. It is a journey of emotions, feelings, thoughts, and sheer talent/musicianship! Some of it took some time to get used to and truly appreciate, but once that line was crossed there was no turning back. This is a masterpiece of an album that i keep coming back to time and time again! :D
My favorite song on this album, so much emotion and feeling in this song ! Daniel is my favorite singer of all now and I can't wait for new Tesseract !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man I still remember listening to this album all the way through after a pretty crazy rough time in my life where everything was just slipping out of place. It was 1:50 AM or so when I bought this album when it came out after hearing the single evolution . This album gave me insight . The melodies , the rythms and ambience in this album takes you to another place. I was super high and it was definitely an experience
They don't make shit that plays on radio, that's why. People won't understand progressive metal. They like listening to pop shit that they can dance to in clubs.
So far, I'd say this is the best track on the album (after 5-6 listens of the entire album). Who knows. Maybe one of the other ridiculously goddamn amazing tracks will grow on me more as time plays out.
I second that! I straight away head to this track, then Patience and then whichever track that follows... Skyharbor creates this fantasmic ambient mood for you to immerse yourself in!!
Definitely the best of the year hands down ... I listen to this when I need inspiration and it’s gets the job done every time 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿... Thankyou so much bro’s !!!!
I've listened to Maeva more times than I can remember, it's one of my favorite songs in the last 10 years or so. I Just hoped their new album would have material that was comparable and I believe they succeeded.
the whole album has been an awesome surprise. such a good album! singing, drums, guitarist. fricking killed that shit. such a breath of fresh metal air!
It's 1:30am and I'm listening to this because I wanted the vibes and the emotions and the guitar and Dan's amazing vocals. I get chills....literal chills every time I hear this song. Everything abt it. And I love love LOVE the buildup at 6:57--7:12 and then the way they bring back the guitar part at 7:42 is just so satisfying and the vocal hooks and AHHH 😖 it's all outstanding and leaves me speachless
Very nice song, i've to listen up the entire album! There's something strange with the distorted guitar parts. It seems like bad attack-release compressor settings. Don't know if it's CZcams conversion or something else but it's quite a shame cause I like this song very much.
I don't see what all the hype for this song is about. Like, at all. It just kinda begins, drags on, and ends. I was trying to follow along with it in the lyric booklet and by about the halfway point, I felt myself falling asleep because nothing was hitting. Sounds super similar to a ton of other tracks on the album too. Certainly nothing compared to Maeva, which has one of the best endings to a song I've ever heard. Overall, 3 listens in, this album has been a major disappointment for me. I was expecting Evolution and Patience to be only previews of the awesomeness the album would contain, not the stand-out songs on it. I'll try listening to the album more so I can hopefully see the brilliance you all see in it, but so far, over half the album (Idle Minds, Miracle, Halogen, New Devil, Kaikoma, The Constant) sounds super similar to me and doesn't leave much of an impact because of it. When I saw the track names and lengths, I got excited for what seemed like would be at least 2 or 3 songs in the league of Celestial, yet not a single song on the album hits that level of greatness. I hope more listenings reveal to me why this album is allegedly so great, I really do. I want so badly to at least *like* this album. Maybe I need to be a musician to understand. Is that it? Are most of you here musicians, so you're picking up on things I'm not? EDIT: The fourth listen did wonders. I'm now differentiating the songs. EDIT 2: Liking the album the more I listen to it. I am so glad. EDIT 3: Ok, yeah, I was wrong. This album is all kinds of great, as is this song.
6:10 it’s not terrible, but it wasn’t anything epic either. a bit short if you ask me, but i think that’s all the room he was given and he has used it well
:)
You bloody genius you
Great work fella ;)
Thank you Plini x
when is your solo?
came here for you and found an awesome band and music :)
Dan’s not gone? I just saw them in Denver,CO on 10/23/23 at the Summit Music Hall and they were better than ever! I’m with you though. I need Dan frontin this band! it's the greatest thing you'll ever know
I am in love with the spiritual and ethereal nature of this album 🤍✨🌌 It has accompanied me through darkness and light, through sleep and awareness. I am grateful it exists as it echos throughout my existence. 🕉️
We have to acknowledge this album without Dan and Anup Sastry wouldn’t have been this good. Missing this Skyharbor
Amen
I miss this band, after Dan left it just faded away. They were easily my favorite
yeah. Eric is a good singer, but he doesn't match the band as well as Dan did imo
Agree, and also, the drumming on this album was insane. Anup Sastry set the bar too high in my personal opinion
It's one of the greatest songs you'll ever knoooww.
I've seen a lot of people comparing this to Maeva, honestly this song is on a whole other level, Maeva is fantastic, but this song is a true masterpiece. Adhitthana 100% agree on this mate, this song is such a chilling/haunting piece that really hits home right!
It's time to daunce
Agreed.
Swear I've listened to this hundreds of times and I had no idea that Plini was here the whole time
Easily the most underrated record of the year as far as the progressive metal realm goes.
I rather like a lot more Daniel in Skyharbor than in Tesseract. His voice fits and impresses more here, makes it perfect.
I agree. Tesseract doesn't keep my interest but this album is infinitely relistenable.
this song changed my life 5 years ago and it continues to do so today. there are no words to describe what it can do to you, if you let it. if you're ready for it. the entire universe is one living organism and you're a part of it.
This is such an emotionally liberating album. It's nice to know it's okay to actually feel stuff.
The rest of the 7 Billion people of the earth are missing out for not listening to this
+Dyllyo Totally agree. But it took the Beatles quite a few years before they caught on too, then, BAM! Has to happen, this music is so far advanced, people can't really quite comprehend it.
It's just amazing music period!!! absolutly YEAH! hope rest 7 Bi People never listen this. make music unique and surreal
I FEEL PITY FOR THEM
That bass player is fire guys!🎶🎶🎶👍👍
Bro, I want to hear more songs like this, dnt matter by who cuz the beat and vocals are fucking perfect
This came to me in the exact moment:
"Bring some peace to my tired eyes.
Take this higher when angels sing with voices of the night.
I dream of endless light, a life I sacrificed. I walk
through endless night. Then I'm gone again"
Masteripiece of lyrics and music :(
that goddamn solo part at 6:12....i forget everything that I'm doing and drop whatever I'm holding....
I love too and after, the riff with breaks drum are powerfull ! And finaly slow down for let us in the air. Enormous !
This is beautiful..... the ambience......lush and warm...... goosebumps ....
You've got both Plini and Mark to guest for you? I need this album.
This album is the definition of art
The outro of every song puts me into such a thoughtful state... It's a meditative journey.
This spoke to me in soo many different ways ,
Thank you Skyharbor .
Gets better every time.
This song, and the whole album, has become one of my absolute favourites during this past year. It is a journey of emotions, feelings, thoughts, and sheer talent/musicianship! The reason they are not so noticeable is because they are no sell outs to corporate.
They don't make shit that plays on radio, that's why. People won't understand progressive metal. They like listening to pop shit that they can dance to in clubs.
Masterpiece.
Plini is amazing in this song, he adds so much musicality to the whole piece. has to be one of my favorites on the whole album.
perfect mix of melody and explosiveness
So far, I'd say this is the best track on the album (after 5-6 listens of the entire album).
Who knows. Maybe one of the other ridiculously goddamn amazing tracks will grow on me more as time plays out.
Well said!
I second that! I straight away head to this track, then Patience and then whichever track that follows...
Skyharbor creates this fantasmic ambient mood for you to immerse yourself in!!
Dude, I have been listening to this album for 7 years and every single one of track has been my favorite atleast once.
@@shantanubayaskar True that, I feel exactly the same!
Half a decade later, still a masterpiece.
And here I was thinking Maeva was going to be hard to top.... Thanks for the song of the year guys :)
Oh my gosh. I've been going through and listening to every song and they just keep getting better!!! Omg!!!!!
Not one bad song on this album. Blinding White Noise was the same way
Blinding noise is more heavier, this is a constant travel through melodies and magical shit
Liz Fizz
I like magical!!
Definitely the best of the year hands down ... I listen to this when I need inspiration and it’s gets the job done every time 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿... Thankyou so much bro’s !!!!
Esse som é incrível, uma vibe surreal
FUCKEN BEAUTIFUL!!! I like all of the songs but my favorites are Celestrial and Maeva but this one ft. PLINI WAW!.. 9 min and 33 seconds of QUALITY..
Maeva is legendary.
It's hard to tell... But this song is either at their level or even better... It's that awesome.
Moniqtee i think this is absolutely miles ahead of maeva, just like everything on BWN was :P it was my least favorite from there.
I've listened to Maeva more times than I can remember, it's one of my favorite songs in the last 10 years or so. I Just hoped their new album would have material that was comparable and I believe they succeeded.
Who's listening to this in 2050?
Guiding Lights is easily the best album I've heard all year long. Great work, Skyharbor! :D
Gimme chills
chills
2018 still guiding
This shit is fucking amazing!!

the whole album has been an awesome surprise. such a good album! singing, drums, guitarist. fricking killed that shit. such a breath of fresh metal air!

agreed. i’ll check the amazon music version
Can we already say that Keshav Dhar is a damn musical genius or is he still very premature?
it’s still premature, but he’s on the way there. misha’s some way ahead of him, i’d say
Yeah plini. Also going to take a while to unlearn scrolling to bottom for comments
the 29 who disliked are probably kpop fans...

gaaraanime5 holy shit, I did not expect the edits of you gradually changing your mind, that was cool
love the edits
The plini's solo in This song is terrible... Meh
