Splatoon fans when their game gets consistent updates / events every month but isn’t shown off in 1 direct:

I think people have to realize that for the general public, an announcement of a splatoon update or splatfest is not huge news. This is why we only get splatoon updates as their own separate CZcams videos or twitter reveals rather than in a direct

I think Ken makes a valid point that Directs are just unpredictable.
It sucks that there was no Splatoon info, but I'd definitely take a new Mario & Luigi and Metroid Prime 4 in exchange for no Splatoon announcements.

Being realistic, why WOULD they have had anything announced for splatoon in the direct? They clearly seem contempt with the game’s state and see it as mostly done for the most part (apart from whatever the last patch will be and finalfest).

I just don't think there's much to say about Splatoon anymore, since we're towards the end and I don't personally believe in a content extension.
They'll probably announce the finale content on Twitter closer to the date.
I really don't think they "forgot" we definitely aren't getting a new game for a while, and some kind of content expansion might be the only thing we could really hope for.
I also don't get people saying Splatoon 3 is lacking content wise. It really isn't. There's so much new stuff that makes it better than the originals, yall pulled this same shtick witch Splatoon 2, which apartently we like now. I don't understand
I think most people weren't as satisfied with 3's dlc compared to 2's. People also just don't want this game to end :(

One reason why Nintendo forgot about Splatoon 3 because the last and final update of Splatoon 3 is coming real soon, and the developers of Nintendo are about to wrap up with the last Splatfest for Splatoon 3, and I think the developers of Nintendo are ready to move on to develop the new Animal Crossing game or Splatoon 4 for the next-gen Nintendo console.
I'm glad that Mario and Luigi came back from the dead with Mario and Luigi Brother Ship.

Even though I've never played any Metroid games (the only Metroid game that I played is the Metroid section of Nintendoland), I'm very happy that Metroid Prime 4 Beyond made it into the Nintendo direct.
I might get Metroid Prime 4 Beyond next year (alongside Metroid Dread no matter if I get Metroid Dread for Christmas or get Metroid Dread the same day as Metroid Prime 4 Beyond).
I know what Metroid Prime 4 Beyond is going to release around 2025.

The main thing we need to take from this is that we as the Splatoon Community need to share more gratitude with the splatoon content we already got and to be flexible about what Nintendo has already shared to us in regards to promising a two-year update cycle.

Internally the company is no doubt focused on titles for the upcoming console and that includes Splatoon 4. Splatoon 3 is what it is, a title released at the tail end of the Switch's life, it still got support for 2 years but the company is moving on.
Splatoon at the direct was a longshot. We're probably not getting a content extension, so if there is any extra updates such as third kits, they'll just drop them on Twitter. Honestly, third kits is all this game really needs to feel complete in my opinion, but I can't speak for everyone.

Its been 2 years. Splatoon 3 is at its end of life, there isnt more dlc to come, or major new changes. We have the final fest left. Because iirc September will be the 2nd year.
I'll be surprised if most of the devs are working on 4 for the switch successor. Dont expect a content extension they promised 2 years, we got 2 years.
I see tons of people online begging for more, but i just dont get it. 2 got some extras for the mario 35th. 3 can get special events still. But maps, kits, weapons, this is likely it.

First they are mad they brought Splatoon 3 on the Switch and not the Switch2 and now they're angry because Splatoon wasn't mentioned in a direct. The games content support is still not over. I know there won't be many things to come but I also don't see another Splatoon game in the next, like, 2 or 3 years...
And I think that is ok tbh. If you get bored, play something else, if you get mad about it, fuck you personally, but I don't think we should demand a Splatoon game within the next year at least...
I got a sniper ranged sword with a grapling hook so i wont complain but if there were more varied chalenges and they happened more often (like every other day) the game can stay the exact same for years

You should give Dragon Quest XI S a try if you have any interest in the genre at all. Game is top-quality. Might want to turn the Stronger Monsters mode on if you prefer it to be challenging, but it's some of the best turn-based combat in a long time with that on, and the style of the game absolutely carries it, from hilarious twists on "but thou must" choices (like your party members threatening to punt you for saying something stupid), to alliteration, puns, and rhymes all throughout the UI and narration, to over-the-top character and environment design that you can't help but enjoy.
And yeah, MIO absolutely catches the eye as very likely to be a gem of a game with how fast and fluid that movement looks and the unique design of the colors and textures. Glad to see it not get glossed over as titles from outside of the biggest Nintendo franchises tend to be in directs.

that segment about Metroid prime is SUPER relatable. As a kid I played Metroid prime trilogy on the Wii and I could never beat it. But I bought Metroid prime remastered the other day and I’ve gotten farther in 2 hours than I ever got back in the day.
