love watching you paint it is very relaxing dont beat yourself up too much see looks good from my house great vid dou once again hahaha😁🤩scooter d😎thanks for sharing looks like santas been busy 🤣
Another great info video, Kreg. The way I see it is, if you can polish and not burn thru with those giant fingers, it should be a breeze me. 😂 Thanks for a cool video. Paul
Kreg - Thank you for recording this last step. I would not have thought you could wet-sand AFTER clear coat, so I learned something today and I appreciate that. The series was excellent overall - I look forward the the 'next' one - nudge, nudge!
Awesome job great shine you might want to put a towel under the body so you don't chip the bottom paint edges on the cutting mat just a thought thanks for the tips
Great video series Kreg. I follow most processes with my paint jobs as well. Picked up a few more tips though.👍 I think I’ll pull out my 1017E for my current project. Thanks for taking the time to put this series together. Bitchin goat!👍 Merry Christmas bud🎄
Really nice that orange was the best choice for that model. Can't wait to see it all together. Thanks for the painting instructions. It was so helpful never used MCW before. I was just too afraid.
Thanks Warren, its almost done! I had a rough go at the MCW when first using it there was not a lot of videos out there showing the use of it, stumbled through it to find what works, figured I would show you guys my results.. Have a great New Year!
Kreg, Your doing a very nice job on my GTO keep up the good work. Hope you have a very nice chrismas and a very happy new year. PS, hope I find it under my tree this year.
What spots? 👀 Can't see them from Indiana... 😬 You know I watch these videos and when it comes to the finishing and wet sanding this is not usable to me because I use Acrylics. I do use the 5000 pads and I think they are great. I can put my floor shine on the car and buff it with that 5000 and make it shine. Not as shinny as you got the GTO but I don't go for that wet shine... Lol Thanks for the series and yea I watch them to the end... 😁 LLAP 🖖
So…after polishing it a while, you just dip the whole thing in glass, right? It sure looks like that’s what you did. Fine job sir. Many current modelers, and many future modelers will really benefit from this series on paint. It’s easy to see you love the body work. Thanks for sharing your work. Merry Christmas to you and yours,if I don’t get to see you before then.
Thanks Paul! The tricky part of dipping it into the glass is the corners lol.. I always get a lot of questions from a prev paint video I did, thought I would slow it down some to ore in depth. For sure I could just paint the body and put the kit back into the box.. Have a great New Year Paul!
Hey Kreg, if you are going to bare metal foil around the windows and wheel wells, do you do that before the clear coat, or after the clear coat? 🤔 Not sure if the clear will mess up the bare metal foil or not (discoloration, etc.) but the clear would definitely lock it down to the model similar to a decal.
For what I found works on most finishes, just have to make sure there curred good, and try it on a small area to test it. I found it works well.. Have a good one!
Most times will depend on when I paint, I do most of my builds at night, I don't like to leave it unattended, in the oven. After a Paint or clear I always set it in the oven for about a half hour or so before I turn it on to let the paint level out more, after that will cook it between 10 - 20 hrs. Or will just let it sit if I don't go out in the room. Most nights it's late after painting so I just let it sit, unless it's still early in the day then I will bake it after the 30 min sit time.. Have a good one Robert!
That Clearcote certainly made the Orange pop. Great series thanks for doing it

It does look as smooth as a sheet of glass Paul

Hi Kreg great video as normal!! Can i ask at what stage you would use panel liner? Thanks Lee. Cant wait for more videos.🤓👍

Slixx decals will come right off if you wash body and did not use decal set solution
Can you use the Meguiars Ultimate Compound on this type of finish?
For what I found works on most finishes, just have to make sure there curred good, and try it on a small area to test it. I found it works well.. Have a good one!
When you clear, you said you let it dry for a couple of days- I thought you would throw it in your easy-bake oven- or is that not recommended
