A lot of people said that billy acting childish as Shazam was stupid since he acts more mature as himself, but the whole thing is that he was never able to be a kid as himself so he lets out his inner child as Shazam
Yeah, beside Billy was so childish when he's free in the first scene, but more mature when he is a foster kid because he wants to show everyone that he can live alone.

Zamir A. Hernandez if u read the comics that’s how they are supposed to be. Kinda like an opposite Batman, serious as a kid but energetic and optimistic as an adult superhero, that’s what they did with SHAZAM in the comics so it’s accurate!

Honestly this was one of the best superhero movies in recent years. It feels like it actually has some soul in it, like the people that made it actually wanted it to be fun. I'll take this over the normal broody DC movies or the quip infested MCU any day.
Personally, I prefer ZSJL or MOS but this is good too.

Most actual robbers tend not to shoot someone unless as a last resort, they'd rather threaten and intimidate someone before actually spilling blood (even so, if someone's pointing a gun at you, never give them a reason to shoot, because they will if provoked). Not to mention that there's still the cultural stigma against harming women and children, who the robbers also likely viewed as less of a threat compared to the well-built adult male who may or may not have superpowers.

Loved the lighter scenes in this movie, Levi did such a great job, it really seemed like a kid suddenly had super powers. Also, love how they spat out the beer and went back for junk food!
Billy had SO much fun when trying to figure out what he could do as Shazam/Captain Marvel, like you'd expect from a kid who found out he can become the World's Mightiest Mortal with the utterance of a single word, and you feel that energy from Zachary Levi when he depicts Billy transformed. :)

With a result of Freddie dying and billy becoming much more serious and careful like Superman in MOS. The Shazam movie was too corny for me even if it does feature kids it shouldn’t be all jokes, it could’ve still been dark and better for it.
