Both genders would rather not do the jobs at the opposing end of the spectrum, respectively. Proven by statistics from countries that have achieved supposed gender equality for job opportunities.
As a female crime scene investigator--a female dominated industry--the "women aren't in dangerous jobs thing made me giggle. We are. You just don't see us represented in movies so you have a skewed view of a lot of jobs. Case and point: almost half of FBI agents are women, and a third of CIA agents are women.
