- What goes on in our hearts that causes us to be discontent? Why do we, as believers, struggle with discontentment? When we bring to light the sinful thoughts and desires of our hearts, it is easier to answer these questions, repent to the Lord, pray, and strive for change. This is an outstanding message. Knowing that our source of contentment comes from trusting and believing who God is. Why do people think we need God plus something else to create contentment. God is enough enough for me and I’m proud of having Him.

I would say... it's not what you do, but Who you know. If you know God is faithful, good, etc. Then trust in Him not what you do but of course pray and read His word that is how we get to know Him more and more.❤

This was such great message. Thank you dear sister in Christ Jesus. Always it's His kindness and goodness that leads us to repentance. The connection between the first and last commandments is very important and something we have missed because as Calvin said the mind is an idol factory, and even the regenerate mind. It was so helpful you clarified the two attributes of God that discontent really relates to... His sovereignty and goodness. Thank you. The Lord bless and keep you.

I’m very content, and thankful, to God for my material possessions, which are few. For the food I eat everyday (I work high end restaurants so staff meal is good). For my health, and especially for His grace and salvation, and being so generous in giving us His word, so that we may know the mind of God.
Where I struggle with discontentment is in regards to my social life. I don’t have one. I work 80 hours a week with the dregs of society. I love them, they are my people outside the church, but It’s really hard to meet someone in the industry when you are a teetotaler. Feel like if Gos is going to make that happen he’s going to have to move a lot of things around. In the meantime I just remind myself that though I may be lonely, God’s plan is working towards my good, and He had that plan from before creation. I will be content with what the Lord gives, and thankful for anything He may take away. All glory to the Lord!

Thank you for this message, it’s so timely for me because I am struggling with discontentment these days, I needed to hear this, it’s very edifying.
I just wanted to point out that the illustrations you American ms usually use are most of the time trivial, I am from Middle East and the issue of not owning a dish washer or a big fridge seems ridiculous to me, it would be more helpful and relevant to talk about more serious challenges like; permanent disabilities, constant abuse, persecution and living in a hostile environment. Thank you again, sister, may God continue to bless you!
This is a great reminder of the challenges and even chronic deprivation some people suffer through, all over the world. I send you a prayer for healing and peace, whatever your circumstances.
Not recognizing that God is the author of our lives in all circumstances is the reason for most of our discontentment.

This was a session only for women. Women are allowed to teach women, just not preach in a church service.

She's teaching other women, and that's perfectly biblical (Titus 2:4-5). Not a stupid question; I was a little confused too until I saw the assembly was only women. I think that's a good directive in Scripture, because there might be issues for women only another woman can fully understand and empathize with.
I was amused though; only an American would consider the lack of two closet-sized fridges and a dishwasher as a hardship. Haha!

David Scholfield This is not a church service. More like a private setting for women only so I would say this is an acceptable setting for a woman to speak. But if I were a woman I would rather not teach even in this setting.
David Scholfield I know you are not the first person to discover those verses. Women are not allowed to teach in church. I believe also that women should wear head-coverings in the church. But no woman taught a man here in this video so what is your point? You said yourself women can lead other women so what is the problem since that is what is happening here?

I never understood why female Bible studies need to be taught by a female? Why can't they sit under the teaching of a man? To put a video like this on your site I think begins to blur the lines. Next thing you know the Beth Moore's jump from preaching to females to preaching to a mixed audience.
What you said is not biblical. Women must teach women it is in the Bible. Titus 2:4-8. Read your Bible.
