    Thanks for a awesome explanation of how you set up fridge slide and wire in the socket, already have the battery and charger and works a treat so will now complete the rest of the setup

    Thank you for this -- very informative as I am in the market for a MUX but wasn't sure how the dual battery would work. Much appreciated.

    Great video. Bought MUX Xmas 23. White same as yours. Think I will do the same. Looks easy to take out when you are done. Good DYI project

    Nice setup, I think I might mimic it. Can I ask a question about the turnbuckle please? How have you anchored that to the floor of your car? I can see it going through the plastic but can only guess what's going on on the other side. Is it just bolted to the plastic? TIA

      if you pause the video at 54 seconds or even 7min and 30 seconds you'll there is a small L shaped bracket under the Bolt that holds the plastic cover down. Similar above on the slide base board. NO, DO NOT anchor just to the plastic.
      cheers

    What year MUX do you have? I like the versatility of your design. I have a 2015 model and it looks slightly different in the back.

    Thanks for the video. If my MU-X already has an Anderson Plug wired and installed in the boot by a previous owner. Would I still need a dc-dc charger? Or could I just plug the battery directly into the Anderson plug instead?

      do you mean for the purpose of charging the second battery ???.. It would be good to know where the power source is for the Anderson Plug you have, but assuming it's a direct feed from your existing car battery, it won't charge the second battery as effectively as a charging device.

      it leads to the starter battery. A grey 50 amp plug. Good to know, it would be good to utilise it. Did you get you dc-dc charger from 12 Volt Direct as well?

    Hi, great video thanks. I just have a couple of questions. Was there a particular reason you cut down the cage, what type of board did you mount the slide on and have you removed the rear seats (6 & 7). Cheers Colin

      @ozoutdorz2584  Před 15 dny +2

      Hi Colin, the third row is still there just folded flat. I used a sheet of 12mm plywood from Bunnings..I cut the cage down as I was not putting anything on top of the fridge. The second row seat would need to be tilted up to 90 degrees or cut the cage end on an angle to suit the slope of the seat..
      The half cage is enough for us to keep gear away from the fridge. Also, more cage would be more weight to lift in and out..
      This set up is for simplicity and ease to quickly return to standard. Thanks for watching.

    So there really isn't the need to remove 3rd row seats and put in a whole false floor, as nice and neat as they appear. Your setup is ideal for those of us just wanting to chuck in a medium sized fridge for a day trip or quick overnighter. Can you buy that car felt/carpet lining stuff from Buntings?

    Does the 12v socket have constant 12v power?

    • @ozoutdorz2584
      @ozoutdorz2584  Před 5 měsíci +1

      It is connected to the factory wiring so when the factory socket has power so does the new one. Such as ignition on or with accessory power on.
