Looks fun! I love the art style of Seasons (haven't played that yet though) and this looks just as nice. The end of game mechanic sounds fascinating, and I can't wait to try this out.
What's really interesting is that you could have 1st place in the very last column and still lose if you were at the bottom of the previous two. Feasibly you can win the game by being in 2nd place accross the board as long as 1st place was behind you at least once in the other categories. Really intriguing.
Thank you for an awesome review Tom! My husband and I loved Seasons and we are excited to try this after watching your review! Very quirky mechanics! On a side note - We are looking for a storage solution to our gaming collection and I saw your shelves. I love them! Where did you get those?! Any advice on storage for games? Thanks again!
Probably a little late, but the shelves that Tom (and several others) use are the IKEA Expedit. They have been discontinued and replaced with the, pretty much identical, Kallax.
Me and my other half love Seasons too, but how are we going to play this only the two of us?! It's a shame that you need at least 4 players. Or 3 with a dummy one but that's not right to start with! And a few new cards for Seasons are included. The game looks beautiful but is it worth to buy knowing that probably it won't be played? Probably not and it's a shame...
David Bator I know this is a really late reply, but... the game comes with 2 copies of Speedwall the Escaped. boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/164203/seasons-speedwall-escaped
Thanks, Paul! We still love Seasons, though haven't played much recently since we had a baby boy who's almost seven weeks old now. I'm sure things will get back to normal again and Season is going to hit the table again, and perhaps by that there's a new expansion out there too, who knows! :) Thanks once more!
Same here. I love Seasons and only play it as a 2-player game. This one looks beautiful, the game sounds very interesting, but how am I going to play it with 2?! Such a shame!
I like Component Drop! They are not damaged during the drop. And you can see all the components in a random fashion. It's a Tom Vasel trade mark, I like the originality of it.
Best shut the door yet??

Good to see this great game back - but look and theme of the original "Himalaya" were so much more immersive...

A very good Shut-the -door indeed!
Great insight thanks.
The game sounds nice and all, but where can we get that awesome t-shirt!
Does anyone know how many new cards for Seasons this game comes with?

only if it's also great for 2 players.. I dont wanna control 2 characters...
I don't see any way to play this with 2. Even with three players you need a dummy.
yeah, that's why i won't buy this one even if I loved seasons.
Yeah, it even says the game is a 3-5 player game. Though I'm a sucker for the visuals and interesting choices proposed to your while playing this.

The unboxing is expeditive 😅
dear PnP makers, can we get a Lords of Xzibit retheme please?
Does anyone else cringe when Tom pours out all the components and they all bang into each other?
Every time. And someone always asks that in the comments of each video as well XD
Jace W Ha! sorry. In my defence I try to avoid CZcams comments as often as possible
Oh no need to apologize. Just meant that you're not alone xD

Game itself is pretty good but the components look a bit childish.
