It was 1980somthing, and I moved to ATL- Marietta. I was going to Life Chiropractic College. There is something about downtown old Marietta.
Soap creek was my favorite place to go, when you could park right before the bridge. Later they blocked with a gard-rail, and you would have to park and walk down.
You know you from Marietta when all your direction, include the Big Chicken. The city name comes from one of the old mayors, when the city was a center for cotton exchange. The old train depot was a welcome center and museum.

I love out in western Pennsylvania, was born in Charlotte NC. Haven’t lived in the south for 4 years now. How safe is Marietta? Biggest thing for my family moving down there is safety.

Just like anywhere there is crime and certain pockets of Marietta can be more concentrated but as whole Marietta is a safe suburb of ATL
