I never used media player cause I solely used Windows 7 at school, and I ran 8.1 on my home laptop (which I still have and use with Linux), but seeing old things like this on Windows 7 makes me feel nostalgic.

Probably the recording software that make sit seem like it lags. For the user it most likely doesn't lag, but it for us, the viewer, it lags.
