    Very Very Nice. Been a while I was wondering how to create a realistic organic string of lights. I will combine both Path and Clothworks. Thanks for this.

    • @luiscurtolo
      @luiscurtolo Před 5 lety

      since you divide the line to make the rope, PathCopy doesnt work :(
      is it possible to recreate a previously divided line, into a new single line to use pathcopy ?

    • @luiscurtolo
      @luiscurtolo Před 5 lety

      Update: used the free extension WELD to rejoin the line and it worked perfectly.

    can you please make a video on the most usefull extensions we need ?

      You could probably start with this one for now - czcams.com/video/p9hv58oqgtM/video.html - I'll likely update for 2018 at some point, but a lot of them will stay the same. Thanks!

    Looks good - BUT: the plugin Clothworks doesn´t exist in Warehouse Extension !?

    • @Thesketchupessentials
      @Thesketchupessentials  Před 5 lety +1

      Follow the link in the description below the video - this extension is contained in the SketchUcation extension warehouse, not the SketchUp warehouse

    Great video. My UI is much different than this. I downloaded it before this video. What version? Any tips on updating to match. In mine it was different named settings, but eventually I got the results.

    Thank you for your very helpful videos!
    I have made a component (table) with the onClick function (interactive tool) to lift the motorised table up and down or to move it on the X-axes.
    I have other components on the table (they are glued). When I move the table by hand (move-tool) everything stays on the table. But when I let it move with the interactive-tool all other (glued) components won't move with it.
    Do you have a idea how to solve this problem???
    Thank you very much!

      Are you using an extension to do this? Or dynamic components?

    Greetings Justin, I really find your tutorials helpful and they are very useful especially when you introduce us to Extensions which makes our creating more easier to produce, However, if you dont mind please Sir I would like to seek your help in my sketchup 2016 Vray rendering. I have never had such a problem and I even tried searching online but no one has ever had that problem and I was wondering if you could somehow take a moment and help me. I have the JPG file of my rendering and SKPf file as well and I'll send it to you on your Facebook Page. Please do help if you can.
    Thank you in advance.

      Some functions of this extension are free, though I can't remember which ones. You can download it and test it out to see which ones...

  • @alexd.7043

    Is there a chance you've tried using FollowAndRotate tool on a line you created via the Clothworks plugin? I tried making a rope with the Clothworks plugin and the FollowAndRotate plugin doesn't seem to work with that line... any other line/arc is working flawlessly.

    • @Thesketchupessentials
      @Thesketchupessentials  Před 6 lety

      I have not - does it do anything at all?

    • @alexd.7043
      @alexd.7043 Před 6 lety

      I wanted to use Clothworks to generate a curve with a real feel to it (gravitiy, collide, angle, movement and all that) and then turn it into a rope using FollowAndRotate. But it's alright, I found a way to make my rope :)

  • @TriSutrisnowapu
    @TriSutrisnowapu Před 6 lety

    Helix along curve, I can't use it in my sketchup 2016, in shetchucation it tells that it compatible only with SU Pre-8, v2013, v2014, but you can use it in SU 2018. .Any Idea what am I missing?

  • @Mattsana

    THe information on this plugin is horribly bad, by the creator I mean. I want to know if there is a trial version. And is it possible to update to a newer SketchUp version with the license if I buy it?
