    Apparently my mic adapter didn’t work properly, so if you wear earphones, you could only hear my voice through your left ear. Will work on this in my next videos!🙂

    I work and live in the Netherlands. I need to go to the office once a week, but I feel that's completely unnecessary. I understand why companies want their employees to interact with each other in person, but I think that I'm much less productive on this day because of the random small talk.

    Great video. It discusses two cool approaches to learning. I like the sweater too. It reads Bend, Oregon.

    Complimentary to the idea of top-down and bottom-up styles of learning which you mentioned, I think there's also a breadth-first and a depth-first approach to it

    I am 100% remote working in Canada for a startup in another province. We have to go at the office for a week quarterly; They reimburse the travel expenses.

      Interesting! Here in Tokyo we also get commuting allowance, so it’s similar I think.

    just came across your channel and this video in particular! are you able to share more on the tech stack you work on and the type of product you do? japan nv really strikes me as a country with a really strong tech scene thus i am very interested to know more about the opportunties there.

      Welcome!Thanks for watching my video. I am mainly working on Machine Learning stuff so I use python as my main programming language.
      However, I believe there are also many openings for web devs, devops, data engineers, etc.
      I think searching on linkedin would be a good start to get a rough answer to your question 🙂

      My mic adapter is apparently broken. I mainly use python.
      The tech stack usually depends on the kind of project you’re working on.

    I can speak a little Japanese and still learning. I hope that I can move to Japan to live. I can code in C#, make 3D models, animations and I have experience making websites. So if I am lucky enough to move to Japan, I’d love to get a job for my skills.

    I saw online someone saying that you don't need to speak Japanese if you work as a Software engineer. Is that true?

    • @ryzary
      @ryzary  Před 15 dny +1

      My company uses English and I know many start ups in Tokyo that also use English for communication between engineers. Having said that, I think the number of companies that are like this are still limited.
