Thanks for doing these! Upgrading from am4 to am5 with my 4070 next month😊
Good choice 😄👍🏻
1080p gameplay is making a huge comeback! That is what we get when GPU manufacturers are more interested in developing their AI cards because people want to make pictures of dogs sitting on toilets.
Starting to get pretty rough even on higher end gpus. I was planning on upgrading to a 4070 might wait for the 50 series lineup to drop
It depends what games and what resolution you are going to play, 4070 is not a bad gpu it is just Alan Wake is one of the gpu killer game
I will make 3060 12G, 2060, 2080 ti of Alan wake 2 benchmark videos soon please stay tune
You don't have to wait bro. This is a pretty good GPU. It can run almost all games on 1440p Ultra 60fps being very cold and spending little energy. This game is an exception.I bet that given some time, they'll patch it and it'll become lighter too.
I'm playing right now with a 4070 and a 5700x cpu. The game looks fantastic even below 1440p! I only just switched everything up to High, fps remained well above 60. Just turned RT on low, so far still floating above 60, however I'm in an indoor area with very few enemies/npcs. But even without RT, it's a really beautiful game. The folks complaining about it are just starting drama to get views as usual!
@@jacobgrecoland 👍🏻 agreed
is it possible to enable frame generation having dlss upscaling turned off ?
yes it can, you can set native res + fg without dlss upscaling but I didn't put it into my testing
My temps are insane on 2k ultra. Temp 2 (juncture) exceeded 110 degrees. I have no idea why. No overclock, just standard, SAM enabled, FSR2 Quality, No RT. Components: XFX 6800 XT with a 5800X CPU, 32 GB, RAM in an airflow focused case from Deepcool. It runs on a stable 60 fps, but the temps made me real worried, so much so that I bought the game about 4 days ago and played it for 10 minutes or so.
Please let me know if this is normal, but it doesn't seem like it.
I think the temperature is not normal 110 degrees is really hot, but I never used amd gpu before so I am not quite sure what reason to cause your problem 🙏
How is the Frame generation feeling, i mean does it feel smooth like actual fps?
In my opinion, I feel smooth. If you are sensitive person you will feel a little bit latency problem but it’s acceptable when playing this kind of single play story game.
@@BenchmarkforFun ok thanks for replying...
@@DeConqueror you’re welcome
@@BenchmarkforFunyeah, the fps gain despite the latency gain in a single player is worth it. You get a bunch more frames.
@@dbean5174 yes, for me if I play at 1440p or 4K I would definitely use frame generation to boost up the fps and maintain the visual quality rather then downgrade the graphic settings
I was hoping it would run well. I was thinking medium settings for RT. Its not too bad at 1080p. The resolution I play at. I don't this is bad at all. Considering its a mid range GPU. I know with the 3070. People thought that was a mid range gpu too.
Yup a mid range gpu that costs more than 600$ lol
Nope exactly $600 at launch. Less now because of competition. The 3070 ti was $600 except when that came out on launch. It was closer $1000 because of demand due to crypto gpu mining.@@naveetkumar6610
Can you test it with 13600k?
Sorry I don’t have 13600k at this moment
@@BenchmarkforFun I see, but do you think it'll be still at 50-60 fps on 1440p with this graphics set up?
@@VSN-wb2lyyes i think you will get the similar result as my video result, because at 1440p it is not heavy rely on cpu side 😊
@@BenchmarkforFun thanks, I'm currently downloading
@@VSN-wb2ly nice, enjoy the game you will not disappointed 😄
There is an Nvidia promotion when purchasing an RTX 4070, 80 or 90
Win an Alan wake 2 key
This generation I buyed console next generation I build pc
What's point of testing 1440p and above if it is struggling in 1080p already? I guess 4070 is a 1080p card.
Why not ? it is fun and then some people maybe interest to see how the card perform on other resolutions
4070 is never a 1080p card for this generation, but you see this game is way above what current generation is.
That's why it's struggling a lot, and also 1440p upscaled with path tracing still looks better than 1080p native, I'd definitely go with that
dude 4070 is definitely a 1440p monster it's just alan wake is the new crysis it's demanding af gpu wise.
@@BenchmarkforFun Yeah I enjoyed it.. don't listen to this guy..
@@DevinDDuck haha thanks your support🙏 I already uploading another Alan wake 2 benchmark video of using 4090, please stay tuned !!!
For me for a single player title 30 fps is more than enough and with 1440p and ray tracing with RR and DLS on quality I’m happy without FG.
I prefer 40 on PC.. 30 is too laggy
because you re console dude... pc gamer will never accept this crap
@@mariuszrogowski7397 there was a time I was a hardcore gamer.. back then nothing below 60fps on ultra for single player campaigns would have cut it.. but now I'm old.. I play on a laptop with an rtx card.. I just wanna get by.. playing last of us part 1 and alan wake 2 these days on medium settings and 40-60 fps and I'm happy with it..
@@DevinDDuck 50 plus... at least what i accept, no drops
@@mariuszrogowski7397 I’m not a console gamer. I currently run a Aurous RTX 4070 OC and an i7 12700K. The only console I used to own was a ps4 which I played uncharted 4 on and a few other games but I owned pcs since I was 6. My first computer was a pentium 2, 64mb ram, 16 mb nvdia brd card with 40gb HDD running windows 98.
This game optimalizaton is a joke.
Everything is sad. The 4070, even at 2k, can’t cope with all the technologies up to a comfortable 60fps
Yes, Path tracing is too heavy. But the visual is superb
This is the most boring game that I have ever play
