Slender: The Arrival is the official videogame adaptation of Slender Man; the paranormal phenomenon that has been terrifying the curious-minded all around the globe.

Slenderman`s lore born in a subreddit post as a "creepy-pasta" where people start to say that he or "it" was real, all of the sudden became so popular that someone creates the game, short films and even a Movie, also there`s a true crime story where 2 teenagers murd@r a girl trying to summon him/it (creepy sh1t)
The whole slender era of the early 2010s was one of the best times of the internet

I’m sure you get these sorts of comments all the time, but my brother introduced me to this channel about 6 months ago and I haven’t stopped coming back ever since. I’m a 30 year old mum of two from New Zealand and I spend a lot of my limited spare time here absolutely love the content you put out, It’s so incredibly refreshing to stumble across a CZcamsr that actually genuinely puts in the work, doesn’t beg for likes and subscribers or try and shove cheap quality merch down you’re throat for a quick cash grab. For those who notice the 3 names in the start of the game. Troy, Tim, and Joseph were the creators of Marble Hornets, an lost footage indie series and its available on CZcams. I'm glad that they are credited in the game and I think they are the writers for this game i think?
Marble Hornets also had several sequels and spin-offs of varying success after the series ended
Back when Slenderman was a mobile game, rules are simple. You will collect pages and you will know that he is there when your screen begins to blur or become static and you need to look carefully like when you see him from your side or peripheral view, you must turn away immediately. That's how you win the game, you should NOT LOOK! 😀
What I truly admire and appreciate about you is that you GENUINELY love doing this and the viewer can feel that. You really dive in and play the game whole-heartedly and it makes it really fun to watch. There are youTubers out there who quickly run through a game and seem happy that it's over. It's the total opposite with you. Which is why I keep coming back to watch your content when I truly want to turn the world off and relaxxxx. The world is so chaotic at the moment, being able to just relax is hard nowadays but you make it possible. Thanks for the hard work. much love x

Slenderman was from a creepy picture submitted to "something awful forums", it got its popularity from both the "slenderman the 8 pages" game, as well as the marble hornets youtube series(a slenderman ARG) , which the creators of marble hornets also helped out in making this game. I remember this because i used to love the slenderverse back in my old youtube days. Marblehornets is what inspired the slenderverse to begin with. You had all these different channels collaborating to create this crazy elaborate slenderman series. Like darkharvest00, tribetwelve, MLAnderson, Everymanhybrid and so many others. This brings back nostalgia.

I didn't realize how close to the end of this game I got. When I played, I stopped at the end of the chapter in the fields with the scarecrow. At the end, when that thing is chasing you and screaming, my anxiety was through the roof. As soon as I finished that chapter, I shut the game off and never returned to it, haha.
I’m glad you finally tried it. You missed a few sightings of him tho lol. He’s always in the hills at the beginning and each time gets closer. You can see him when you’re in the first house. It was scary back when but with the enhanced graphics even better!!
I played this as a kid when it first came out and even the pixelated graphics were creepy so I can’t even imagine how terrifying this would’ve been for younger me 😂

Now this is the classic horror game! I have seen it being played by so many CZcamsrs back in the day. Markiplier is the one that introduced me to this game and boy oh boy did they changed this game a lot now huh. This was genuinely for me one of the scariest horror games ever made, it terrified me for many years, the atmosphere, the characters, the setting and many more things that took my attention so much on this game. I love it so much still so much years later.

Slenderman started out as a Creepypasta. As for his origin in terms of the lore itself, i'm not sure. But he's some sort of entity that collects/feeds on souls (im assuming preferably children), and is insanity inducing. Something like Bughuul from the Sinister franchise.
the comparison to the demon from sinister is actually pretty spot on very similar motivations. I remember reading in the 2nd game he would eat your insides and hang you upside down

im a 02 baby so when slender man was huge in the 2010s i was a very young kid. i wasnt really scared/ the other horror villains really never had the effect on me like slender did. i would literally wake up crying or having insane panic attacks because of the intense nightmares. it didnt help that a way slender would attack you would be through your dreams, but i remember having the absolute worst time for a large time frame. so now im a 22-year-old young man, and this play through literally hit entirely different. im a huge horror person so it takes a lot to actually frighten me and make me jump. good stuff hollow just as always!

the myth of the slender man is a creepypasta that evolved from posts on something awful forums back in 2009, but slender the arrival didn't just work off of that story. it also worked with the guys that made a found footage style series about the slender man here on youtube called marble hornets. troy wagner, tim sutton and joseph delage actually helped build up the lore and story of the game and their series really added a lot to the creepypasta of the slender man. a lot of fans of the series were ecstatic when we found out the devs for slender the arrival reached out to them to work with, and honestly the fact they did that is a big part of why this is the best slender man game we ever got and not just another page collector with no lore kind of game. this is a month late i know but i just had to mention marble hornets because i love it.
