The song I know and dig by Shadows Fall is Stepping Outside The Circle off of The Art Of Balance. I saw Shadows Fall once at Irving Plaza in NYC I believe. I think Anthrax was headlining. There were like 5 bands on the bill. Shadows Fall played 2nd, I think. After their set, the lead singer just got into the middle of the crowd to bang his head & watch the other bands like a real fan. I thought that was pretty cool.
These guy were one of the spearheads for metalcore, the genre has changed so much since then. I remember seeing them early on and it was a strange mix of metal heads and hardcore fans at the show. I kept waiting for a fight to break out but it stayed chill
I like Shadows Fall, they are kinda like Killswitch Engage. I had this album The Art Of Balance and The War Within, which is probably their best album. The Light That Blinds and What Drives The Weak off the War Within are pretty sick.🤘

ok, some interesting facts about Shadow's Fall, they started out as a death metal band, their original singer was Phil from All That Remains, their drummer is now the drummer for Overkill, they are good friends with most of the other bands from the Massachusettes area like ATR, Killswitch Engage, etc. I know you love stories, so this is probably my favorite story about Shadow's Fall. I went to one of the Rockstar Energy Mayhem festival's in Oswego, NY and Shadow's Fall decided to play a free set for the music fans waiting to get in (sponsored by a local radio station) well, there was an incident that delayed the show (stage broke lol) so they kept delaying letting us in. Shadow's Fall just kept playing almost the entire time. By the time they let us in I'm pretty sure they had played for like 2.5 hours. As for more Shadow's Fall songs, i went with one of my favorites, but I'll bet Brandon and Ghost Town Guy will probably have suggestions for additional songs to check out.
