The relatability and vulnerability that Mathew Perry brings to Mike are what truly elevates 17 Again. RIP you comedian legend
I know this was filmed before he passed away, but it still feels surreal to hear you two talk about his addiction. He was ripped away from us far too quickly. Rip Matty. ❤

The fact that Matthew wanted Zac to play him if they ever made a biopic on his life really breaks me while watching this movie again. Hope you're cracking jokes and making everyone laugh in heaven Matty.
On the topic of Zac being super nice, I got a whole new respect for him when I watched his Netflix documentary Down To Earth, he’s just such a laid-back guy

I loved this movie so much! I thought Efron killed it! And Matthew Perry was fantastic as well. People didn’t give this movie a chance because of the stigma of Efron had being a Disney teen from a super cheesy Disney Channel movie. And anytime I heard someone say something negative about Efron around this time I always would urge them to watch this movie. Because this movie absolutely changed my perspective on him completely.
RIP Mathew, loved his work, loved this movie. I wish they made more movies like this but that's too much to ask for these days I guess

Forgot to say, one of my go to movies.. loved it.& your homage to Mathew Perry, Chandler Bing was really nice & heartfelt. He always made me laugh out loud. I watched that series on loop during the best time of my life, when my boys were little & worst time of my life, after I lost my brother…that show has been part of my life for years & I’m listening to his audible book, wasn’t sure if I could, thought I’d be too sad but he still has that ability to make u laugh whilst talking about addiction & I’m paying attention. I’d hate to think what the rest of the cast are going thru. The World’s has lost a Friend 😞❤…never thought I’d see that in my life time.😢RIP Matthew Perry..gone way too soon.not fair.
We had jock ass hats like this in my school. These movies embellish it for the drama like anything else, but they existed in the 90's at least. We had one pair (Josh and Jason) Basketball & Football dudes who basically treated everyone not in the cool kids click like trash. Pushing people out of the way when they walked down the hall, steal your food, beat up/pick on the littlest kids in the locker rooms.... Because they were the "stars" of their teams and the teams were consistently in the top 5 for NY state they got away with just about everything. Didnt help Jasons father was also the head gym teacher, & football/basketball coach.

I always wonder why people like that behave that way. You would think given their status and looks and everything great that comes with being popular, that they wouldn't go out of their way to treat others like shit. That never made sense to me. Luckily, most of that crowd were pretty cool at my high school. Granted, there a few that fit the stereotype, but the jock and cheerleader crowd was generally nice. The delinquent crowd, on the other hand. Those guys were the assholes.

Okay I do not think that was mansplaining, it was just a fatherly advice that a father was trying to give his daughter and her friends. It wasn't coming from a place where a man thinks he knows better than someone who has experienced life as a woman but rather it was from a father who has seen life and is disappointed by how shallow and misguided teenagers often are.
I haven't seen that many of Matthew Perry's movies, but this is one of the few I did see and really dug it when it came out. I could relate to his character so much. Granted, I wasn't good-looking and popular in high school, nor am I married on the verge of divorce with two kids who hate me, but I definitely connect with feeling like my life could've went in a better direction if I'd made better decisions. Also, Jaby, are you sure meant to say Tobey Maguire when you mentioned Spider-Man? Because Andrew Garfield's movies didn't come out until a few years after this. As far as the self-respect thing, even though Mike is well-intentioned and coming from the place of a dad, it's still kind of problematic given the context of the scene. He's basically slut-shaming them and you know that nobody ever lectures guys about "self-respect" whenever we're horny and trying to get laid. There's nothing wrong with wanting to scratch an itch and leave it at that. Your situation with that drunk girl is a very different thing. And good on you for being a gentleman about that. A lot of guys, especially when we were growing up, would've taken advantage.
Not to put any shade on Matthew Perry whatsoever, but the K-drama remake of this movie, called "18 Again" tells the story much better.

The military has a ton of those women. They are quick to cry rape the next day. During my time in, I unfortunately had it come up once.
I like this channel and most of the content but everytime Jaby is on here he just has the worst takes and unnecessary comments about women. I really don’t get it. Doubling down on outdated tropes from 2009 makes no sense. Really thought we were past the idea that women wanting sex means they don’t respect themselves.
Well he's not wrong. Modern day women especially in California have the habit of acting trashy and have a preference for bad boys but also complain that they are treated like shit by those same guys. All jaby is asking is to have better standards for yourself which is a very normal thing to say.
