  • Today I'm Laser Cutting Jerky into Conversation Hearts as a Valentine for my Dog, Red and trying out the new 10 Watt SculpFun iCube portable Laser Engraver. Beef Jerky and Laser Cutters don't traditionally go together, but they do today. Michael got in on the fun too and designed and laser cut a box for the Valentines to go in... and we think the finished product is pretty sweet.
Happy Valentine's Day from us to you xoxo

The dog needed some valentines, and we couldn’t think of a more perfect machine to tackle the job 😎😎😊

What - no personalization on the box? Michael - how callous. The laser cut jerky is a hilarious idea (and some of the dog specific phrases really nailed it). I did wonder how "burnt" tasting it would leave the jerky though. Oh, and I loved the "blue laser" effect. Another great video.

Cute!!! Always wondered how jerky would cut, but the big question is how did it smell when you were cutting it???

It smelled a bit odd. Not nearly the worst smelling thing we’ve ever laser cut though

That worked much better than I would guess! What finish did you use, Brooke?

You mentioned flavor and yes I'm sure most pups won't be concerned with flavor of their jerky. However, was the bad flavor the jerky itself, or the result of lasering?

Result of the laser. Laser-ed foods taste very very burned.

I was going to copy these as they are very clever but my dog can't read.

This is the kind of shit laser cutters were ACTUALLY made for. 😹😹😹
