Tangs poop like crazy, but I don’t think it should be stringy. Generally, a sign or parasites & worms. Maybe just from the hair algae though. Thanks for your videos.
My fish pooped like that and he ended up having some type of worms I thought if you ever seen that happen your fish was sick nice to know that’s not the case
Big fan of your channel. One question. Now I learned how the QT tank is important for reefing after a massive ich outbreak in my DT. I agree with you that CUC should be parasite-free to make the DT clean from any of the parasites. How about corals. Many people including HumbleFish said that corals might bring the parasite eggs into the DT when introducing. I mean you are not QTing for the coral I guess?
Not sure if you have your Ecotech Gear plugged into your GHL outlets but in case you do there really is no need to. They work off of mobius so no need to waste programmable outlets when you can control them through mobius.
The mobius app is pointless as you cannot turn anything off. I have mentioned it to Ecotech to add this to a future update. There is no way you can do a water change and shut them off via the app.
@@eatsleepreef9565 there are buttons on the front of the controllers that continue to function as well. Turn power off on one and they should all turn off. Works for me and I don’t waste precious controllable outlets.
Well this only works if your controllers are at reach. Mine will be hidden in the back false wall. Also even if I could do it via mobius, you cannot have the skimmer also shut off and on via mobius. This would cause all sorts of headaches when turning on or off. With me one click of a button all shots off and one click of a button all turns on plus it delays the skimmer to power on. For me it’s all about convince, you can always buy more GHL sockets which I will do.
@@eatsleepreef9565 well crap. I tried man. Was trying to help you save some plugs you could use for something more important. I don’t shut off my return while feeding. I just turn my vortechs into feeding mode. I don’t get enough food going directly into overflow to warrant turning off return flow and awaiting it all to rebalance
Ya lol. With this setup The way it is I am kinda forced to use them 🤣 the main reason I like it the way it is is for water changes. One click of a button and it all shuts down. I for sure will need to buy more sockets for the GHL
Thats not going to make your fish sick! Who makes sure the fish in the ocean only eat fresh food?? They eat what ever is around. That includes dead/rotting fish and what ever else they chose to eat. Yea that could cause phosphate problems but no affect to the fish.
Awesome tank!!! Your rockscape is beautiful!!!
The tang got you tanks looking so nice It’s going to be amazing tank ones it matures with more corals and fish 👍🏻👍🏻
Bruh I went live rock this last build it’s hands down the best way to go if u have a solid resource. Lax has good live rock and sand.

Loving the size of this tank can’t wait for you to colour up , when’s the next vid on the calcium reactor 😄👍🏴

If the poo was white yeah. But as long as it looks like poo it’s all good.
Yeah it looked white to me in the video just like what my clown had few years ago
What type of equipment did you use to hang your lights, I'm trying to make my own diy mount and I love how yours are built
Are still happy with the caribsea life rock

What is your experience with the foxface, wanted one on my new build, but im afraid he nipp the corals... love your layout, looks like mine!
I've been lucky, great at eating algae, never seen mine nip coral or any sign of that happening.
@@freakygoblin3068 i really like the fish, maybe ill take my chances... over my zoa collection... well, ill have think about it a lil bit more 😅
Fox face been fine 👍no problem 😀
Tang Gang come through Big. Tidal Gardens is also dealing with their issue the same way.
Nice tank bro question where do u buy the corals from bro?? the green torch is 🔥🔥
Was it really just the fish that took care of all that algae? You didn't add any Vibrant or filter medias? Did you manually remove anything?
U need to add a screen top to that tank the fish will eventually jump out. I learned the hard way

Lucky! My tangs have never touched GHA. Ever.
nice poop analysis :)
Can you do a video of why the yellow tang is so expensive now 😫
Because Hawaii fish exports are closed off for at least a year or two
@@GryphonTyphoon you mean forever?
They will never open again.
That is unknown, they are running some sort of habitat study, so depending on those results will determine when or if they can be exported again.
Dude. Start a small invert qt tank. It’s very simple.
Do inverts even need to qt? I heard they dont have pests
I quarantine anything wet. The invert get quarantined with the corals. No chances taken
@@hamidinagamov3540 I’ve heard the same thing and have never qt’d cleanup crew for my nano
Are you planning to cover the top with a net?
But do you really think fur sure there is no more algae?
Oh man my tang probably poops triple that size but it’s not stringy it’s thick
🤣🤣🤣
