Right it sounded so cool I wanted to hear more but as soon as he pulls on the highway you hear him floor it then at 3:40 it suddenly cuts to "in 1950 Willy's introduced..." It's actually kinda funny, what a tease... Haha
Having worked as a motorcycle mechanic while going to college, I've always been a fan of the Goldwing engines. Putting one in a flatfender Jeep?? Absolute genius. Thanks, RT
Such an inspiration. Watched the original video, and you here have covered it well. Such an awesome little toy. Im going to do this with a dune buggy here. Just have to figure out how I'm going to attach it to the input shaft of a vw trans.
Im looking for someone able to weld aluminum tubular pipes to make a prototype with the 1800 engine. The engine attach point are available and i have the softwa to project the chassis. It will be pretty sick
Brilliant! I was looking around for GL engine swaps to see if anyone have done it, ecasue it seems like such a good match. I'd love to build a retromod cyclecar with the 1800 engine...
your Jeep looks and sounds great. I have a question for you. Do you recall what transfer box you used to reverse the output shaft rotation? I'm collecting parts to do something similar and this is something I will have to overcome.
I am not sure but if you head over to @klepsgarage he may be able to let you know. I am unfortunately not a great mechanic 👨🔧 lol 😂. It’s a neat jeep set up though
Hi Jerry could you show me how you did the drive off of the rear of the motor also how did you do the head pipes I am thinking on do a buggy of my own and need this help I also like this jeep motor swap and sound great.
@@JerryJrsGarage Thank you for the reply. I live in Australia and am curious is this engine would work in a VW beetle, so if you know of anyone up for a challenge...... lol. Great video by the way
@@ashleyrankin2456 That’s awesome 🤩 I am sure it is possible. So many Goldwing engines here for so cheap it’s a cool use in a vehicle for sure! Sounds so good too. I had a Jeep but I sold it hopefully have the video up eventually 😅
Honda goldwing engine in a Jeep...that's pretty cool but it kinda loses that tractory Jeep sound we all know from watching M*A*S*H. I still find it interesting coming across engine swaps in Jeeps utilizing a Kubota 4-cylinder Diesel engine.
Nice, but wish we could have heard it run through the gears before starting the voice over. 👍
The sounds were so windy on that mic💨 I tried to keep the best sounds in it towards the beginning best I could. I’m a rookie with video but I try :)

Motor sickle?
Terrible terrible audio

I got a 74 vw bug that I'm waiting for a NEW crashed GW to come round for.
That is friggin awesome!
Would have been better if he didn`t have the d*m, music going ,,, I wanted to hear that old jeep with the swap ...
Good engine conversion.
Cool as a cucumber…brilliant

I happen to have an old goldwing and a Suzuki samurai with blowed motor. Thought about doing this but am unsure on engine wiring
This thing is fabulous
Beautiful! But shut up and turn off the music. We can look up info on an m38 on wikipedia. I wanna hear this masterpiece.
Build one then…Get off the old CZcams and go turn a wrench 🔧
Love ❤️
Can you imagine putting the 1800 engine in it?

Looks like we had a profound effect on you. Great video!!! On my Jeepwing.
See more at Kleps Garage Episode 16.
oh come on, we want the thing cruising!!
Thanks for muting out the engine sound with music. Very informative.
You are so welcome lol 😆
I'd swap that out with a newer GL1500, that would be one impressive combo :D I do love the sound of the GL1000's though, reminds me of my Dad's bikes.
I wish you didn't cut out the driving sound of the Goldwing engine sound.
Brilliant!

That thing is sweet.
It sounded awesome and honestly had more power than I was expecting!
I think hes a skilled genius.
🙏 Thanks I try to keep my IQ on the down low lol 😂

Unfortunately I have no clue but head on over to Klepsgarage on CZcams he would probably gladly talk about this build! Super fun little Jeep
What air filter did you get to fit on there?!
Uhm ..thanks for the talk over the star of the show ..engine right? How'd it do with HP/Lbs running thru the gears?
I never drove it! Cool rig though
Now he has a Jeep that will run 300k miles.
Like the others, I was so looking forward to hearing it on the road but got music and talking instead.
Curious what was the top speed reached?
You know what I can’t remember but I would say we were up to 50 tops no problem. Just a guess

Why go on about the sound then talk and play music over the drive?
Because sounds came through like crap. Not a professional here.
"Sounds Awesome" says the title. Hmm, if only we could have heard it properly. Irritating, to say the least.
Ehhhhh NOPE !
It would have been a great video without the music or the commentary bs
I’m no video expert go find one
Crap underpowered engine
