  • Making your own DIY dried wall hanging is easier than you think, and I will walk you through the steps to make your very own boho wall decor. Using preserved flowers for home decor is a beautiful way to decorate your home, and the best thing is that it lasts forever!
Don't be intimidated by making your own preserved flower arrangement, watch my video and you'll have the skills to easily create your own!
    Supplies you'll need:
    - Oasis foam cage (or make your own using wood, steel strapping, chicken wire, and foam)
    - Dried flowers (I used a variety of things, including: ming fern, poppy pods, yarrow, babies breath, and bunny tails)
    - Large and small sized palm leaves
    - Pruners
    - Floral tape (optional, but I find it helpful)
    Sources for the Dried Flowers:
    Pampas Grass - www.youfloral.ca/product/cali...
    Palm Spear - www.youfloral.ca/product/whit...
    Rust colored eucalyptus - www.youfloral.ca/product/pres...
    Ming Fern - www.youfloral.ca/product/ming...
Sonora Palm - I need to add these to my website, don’t have the link yet!
    Italian Ruscus (preserved) - www.youfloral.ca/product/rusc...
    Bunny Tails (natural) - www.youfloral.ca/product/bunn...
    Poppy Pods (foraged)
    German Statice (from farmers market)
    Yarrow (from my garden)
Babies Breath (dried from a old bouquet)
    Artemesia (from farmers market)
The steps to create the wall hanging are:
    - Affix your oasis cage to the wall (as its easier to create this art when you can easily see it/it's in the position that it'll be hung)
    - Put in your palm leaves (note that because they are heavy, they might make your cage flop and hang lopsided)
    - Start placing pampas grass throughout the foam
    - Place your dried flowers that provide volume (I used babies breath for this)
    - Put in your textural pieces (i.e. bunny tails/ming fern), making sure to conceal the floral foam.
That's all there is to it! If you are looking for dried flowers, you can purchase online from my shop You Floral - we ship all across the U.S. and Canada - www.youfloral.ca and www.youfloralusa.com
Thanks for watching, let me know if you have any questions!
