This video was recorded by Guillem Belmar at Afûk, a Frisian-language organization in the Netherlands. Dutch Sign Language, also known as Nederlandse Gebarentaal (NGT) and Sign Language of the Netherlands (SLN), is spoken by as many as 16,000 people in the Netherlands, where it is the primary signed language. A member of the French Sign family of languages, SLN shares genealogy with dozens sign languages across Europe and the Americas, including those of Russia, Mexico, and the United States. While it is taught in some deaf schools, SLN remains politically unrecognized.

The title should be "signing" not "speaking"
I am hard of hearing and an American Sign Language Interpreter. I currently learn the Dutch language and plan to start learning a bit of Dutch sign language as well. I want to visit the netherlands and meet some Deaf people there.
Other than very little American Sign Language, I don't really know sign language, of any sort. But I have found, that usually, with sign language, what it looks like they are saying, they probably are. Honestly, this is interesting to watch.
I'm highly interested in learning (more about) sign language, so I really enjoyed the video. 👍❤
I remember enjoying a DSL class in Utrecht. Very interesting
Is its different with bsl?
@@unknownana9797very different
Ik ken een beetje Vlaamse Gebarentaal en kan redelijk goed volgen. Bijvoorbeeld het woord "samen" is exact hetzelfde.
