Day 201: (6/28/24) Valletta, Malta / Blue Lagoon, Comino
I started out the morning with our beautiful sail into port. I got off the ship and quickly made plans to take a boat over to the Blue Lagoon with Anthony since he had also been looking for a boat tour day. We had some time to kill so we walked around the waterfront area for a few hours before catching our boat.
We took a speedboat to the lagoon and the water was unreal. It was also sooooo crowded. I think it’s just that I am used to Oregon Coast beaches where we may have a lot of people, but we also have a lot of beaches so everyone can spread out. Here, we had a LOT of people, all crammed onto rock ledges since there is not a beach. Luckily we were able to get two chairs at the end, so we did not have people constantly walking by us and could relax a bit. We had about 4 hours at the lagoon before catching the boat back to town where I got back on the ship.
I chilled out on the balcony as we sailed away and did some work on the podcast since we have a new episode dropping on Sunday.

I'm just back from a week in Malta. The entire island (as well as Gozo) was so incredibly overcrowded. Couldn't find a place to relax at any of the beaches they were all so packed. And Valletta was like being in a sardine can.
