Soaking aching body in outdoor onsen looking at snow capped mountains is the most relaxing and zen feeling... like to drink cold sake after that
Snowboarding, onsen, relax by the fire, supper at the pub with craft beer. You are living the life!
Hakuba is my favorite ski area. Its so international and the runs have such good powdered snow. The onsen water is top quality and the people in the area are lovely. The forests around the area have a serene charm!

During tis pandemic times, Rion san u r in Japan, still can travel to any states enjoying scenics places within ur country🤩! We're in Singapore, a very tiny 🏝️ island, can travel to NSEWest super markets n shopping centers only , Lol..kind of lockdown too!✈️🈲

I've been waiting to see you snowboard! Yay! You're actually not that bad for a beginner! At least you are determined, and always get up to try once more. as a snowboarder and one who loves to go to Hakuba ( did that run, been there, eaten there etc...) i love the fact that you didn't cut all your falls when snowboarding and for the people who have not been on that run he did, I'm impressed on how much he improved from the top of the run to the bottom.
(side note the coffee shop at the woody he went to has really good coffee)
For anyone who is thinking of going there there is so much more to see and eat this was a 24hr stop there are a few good places to eat and see just walking distance from the hotel he stayed in.
Now as for the hot springs (the hotel he stay at you can pay to use if you are not a in house guest "pre covid"! not sure post) but there are a few in town as well. As most places you can walk to (note i walk to most places in hakuba ok walking is not for eveyone but the place he stayed to where i stay is about 1hr or what 10min in a car "opposite end of the town and I mean that") so 80% you are only a 30 min walk from one ( if you are staying Happo-one area)
on a side note you can also go via Matsumoto Station and the get a bus to hakuba too

Hi, Rion - congratulation to your first day snowboarding. Great job. As an experienced alpine skier I know what I am talking about. How clever to use the onsen after hard work in snow. It is definitely relaxing. Anyhow as you are obviously talented snowboarder just keep on with this activity, too. I am sure you will enjoy it in the future as well.

Not sure if anyone pointed out or if you noticed while editing. At 14:12 and 14:24 and a few other places there is a bit of feedback now and then. Could be a connection issue while recording or if you are using a different microphone just for those parts, but thought would just mention it to you as I know you always try your best to put out the best quality content you can and want to help encourage you to keep it up, but to improve, those small things need pointing out so you also know where any issues are.
As for the content, great as always!

Especially I was thinking lately that I want to try snowboarding or skiing so it was fun to see how it is for a beginner and you really made me want to try it too! The view at the mountain was beautiful. Also the onsen looked so comfortable. But I would probably go there only when I'm sure I am alone there, haha. And the lunch really looked delicious too. I also really like the hotel, it's my favorite, cozy style. It seems like a really fun trip and I hope you enjoyed it there!

That's a great onsen! I went there last year. You don't have to be a guest at that hotel to use the onsen. And it is tattoo friendly!!
Wow Rion, you did really great for your first time snowboarding! I'm super duper impressed! I started skiing when I was 4, and I grew up on the slopes of Mount Washington on Vancouver Island, but I didn't try snowboarding until I was in my 30's! It was so hard for the first hour two, it just felt so strange to have both feet locked in place, but I eventually got it. I think you did much better than me though. You were so controlled by the end of the day! I ended my first day of snowboarding with a hard, backwards fall and I hit the back of my head on the hard packed snow 🤕, and I've never done it since then.😆 That onsen must have felt great after punishing your body out in the cold!

Wow! What a super fun snowboarding experience. I must have gone to Hakuba to try to snowboard around the same time you did.😃But you did way better than me. I am so glad that you have a hard time describing the way food tastes too. I am also glad to see that even Japanese friends are surprised by the foods they try. I often have no idea what I am eating, but I am willing to give it a try. I so want to try that giant burger! Lovin IT!❤❤

Hakuba has a bunch of ski areas. You should mention where you went. I thought I saw happo on the gondola so I assume it was happo one…

i’ve only gone snowboarding twice in my life and it was one of the most physically exhausting things i have ever done. i didn’t know how to keep breathing steadily when the wind was so cold and rushing into my face. also, i felt so sore afterwards-not just from where i fell, but my abs were in so much pain from tensing up to keep my balance. you did so good for your first try!! mine ended with me giving up after thirty minutes and drinking hot chocolate in the lounge.

Ive been to many Christmas markets and snowy places but ive never been to a ski resort before, the hakuba hotel looks so cozy and an amazing place to stay! You should visit more resorts Rion! I think it would be really cool and an amazing experience for you! Great video :)
