My uncle's German shepherd was the best nanny I ever had. She was so dedicated that she kept traction of me even when I was in my teen years. I miss that kind lady.

I was raised by a German Shepherd. Took better care of me than my parents.
My grandfather was murdered after-hours in his shop. His shepherd, King, wouldn't even let the police get next to his body. They had to get a net AND pole to remove King to get my grandfather's body to the coroner.🥺 I've been blessed with 4 of these beautiful creatures since before I was born ~ all the way to my most recent, trained in Schutzhund ~ German protection. I was married to a SEAL; so, I taught one to search the whole house before we entered when we got home. He was also taught to attack anything that was pointed at us. My neighbor had their sons visit one Christmas. One got a crossbow. They were in the backyard and pointed it at Rok. 🤭 He jumped the fence, bit Steven in the booty & tore his sweatpants; then, he jumped the fence again and sat on my front porch like: "I did my job, now let me in!"😂

Truly. One of our German shepherds was like that. She never left my side when I was 5/6. Wouldn't let anyone near me apart from my family. If I'm walking in the front yard she would not take her eyes off me. She was so beautiful and gentle Loved all the other dogs too ❤

I loved my German shepherd when I had him, he lived all the way to the age of 16 even then he didn't pass till I visited him for the last time. Note at the time me and my family were living with my grandma on my dad's side, and she doesn't like pets so I had to leave my dog with my grandma on my mom's side. I was sad that I couldn't see my dog everyday but I was excited when we did go visit him, hell when I knew he reached his prime I was ready to say goodbye and apparently he was to because the last day I was with him he literally laid down in my lap and just stayed there letting me pet him and talk to him for hours till he finally stopped breathing. I couldn't stop crying after I lost him he was the best dog I could have asked for and I loved him to the end. May you rest in peace Coco.

My dad was a K-9 cop in the military police. Needless to say German Shepherds were a big part of our household! Great dogs!
I got a German Shepherd/ Border Collie mix when I was 8. He was everything this video said he was, except brave😅. Slightest loud noise and he’d be shivering his ass off in the bath tub. He joined the rest of his kind up in the big dog sanctuary in the sky back in 2020. It’s the one thing I’m grateful to the pandemic for, I had an excuse to stay home with him in his last days… I miss you Simon.

Seeing this makes me miss my german shepherd Daffy. She served us well for 14 good years and was so loyal that even though she wasnt spayed, she never allowed breeding. We grew up without much and she never tried to take food that wasnt hers. You could literally take food out of her mouth, yet she was very protective of the family. I got her for my 10th birthday. I have since had other dogs after her but I honestly wish i could clone her, she was perfect. Didnt need a leash, was a good baby sitter, etc. But yes you have to put in the work to train them

My grand dog is absolutely marvelous. Motto is protect and serve. And she includes her grandparents when we come. However, she adores my husband the most. This may have to do with the bacon he sneaks to her.

As a kid mine loved all of us, but chose my mom. Slept right by her always, followed her everywhere and would be looking out the window at the same time every day knowing she was about to get home.

My nephew had a beautiful German shepherd. His name was King. He lived up to every bit of his name. He was so loyal, loving, protective and fun loving. Sadly we lost King last February. He was 13 year's old. I miss him every day 😔❤️

I had one for 16 yrs, 140 lbs. Best dog ever. I read that g sheps were sheep dogs, but when the need for them began to wane, a guy started breeding them for intelligence and adaptability to keep the breed from dying out. I forget what his name was.

These dogs are amazingly strong. My friend fell in the bathroom. Luckily his GSD was still wearing her harness. He told her to drag him to his bed. She cocked her head a couple times, quickly figured out what he wanted and dragged him to his bed. They are wicked smart.

German shepherds are the most loyal, loving, kindest, protective, smartest, rewarding dogs EVER!!!!!!! I just had the most GORGEOUS Lab/GS dog die from cancer at age 9. GS’ have a HIGH genetic risk of getting cancer. Many people don’t know this, I didn’t! Losing Waker was the HARDEST thing I have ever been through! These dogs are so amazing but please be aware of their health issues!!

We grew up with a German Shepherd named Duke. There were four children in our family. Many times we’d fall asleep in the car traveling back home at night. Duke would run from the car to each one of our beds until Dad had carried us into the house & put to bed. AWESOME DOG!!!

Amazing family dogs that will protect your children with their lives. They are strong dogs that can be willful and stubborn if they are bored or without purpose. If you're not going to train them AND exercise them daily for their physical and mental health, this is not the dog for you. If you are, then this is an awesome dog that is smart, brave, and fiercely loyal.
When I was a baby my grandma had a german shepherd. This dog had never before seen me in his life but imidiatly realized that I was part of the family. So when I was taking a nap in my grandmas garden the dog refused to leave my side, knowing that I was the weakest member of the family, even tho everyone else was like 20 meters away. He even bit all the wasps out of the air when they where approaching me. Sadly he passed away when I was 3 so I never reallly got to meet him.
My brother in Vietnam had one like this. He was such a big beautiful dog. We loved him. My family don’t ever eat dogs. But then one day someone kidnapped him. 😢
