Eric i have watched with some regularity all the medium to large farm channels. You outwork every single one of those other farmers hands down. Taking care of a dairy herd properly is only for the strongest smartest & most motivated among us. No question in my mind. Not to belittle or take away from ANY of our GREAT FARMERS (I thank God every day for all of them)- it is just that animals require 24/7 on call and caring. You and your dad are truly amazing men. Thank you for providing us with our best in the world dairy products.

I totally agree with you. There is a farmer on CZcams I follow who is an equivalent. His channel is: I farm you farm. He is a one-man operation with a much smaller farm and fewer cows. He is also a hard worker, and he maintains his farm, equipment, and animals with a dedication very similar to Eric and his dad.

I don’t think this post was really necessary. I grew up around farmers and ranchers, my parents came from ranching backgrounds. It’s very, very, rare to see a lazy person in that field. 99.9% of them are hard working folks. They have to be creative problem solvers, know about a plethora of everything in order to do maintenance, how to manage their ranches/farms in every situation, plus know how to manage finances and prioritize how to spend their money and time. For you to single out one of the many to declare that they’re the hardest working is insensitive, insulting, and unkind. You only see a very small part of these people’s lives, and only what they want to put in their vids. To come to such a ridiculous conclusion on a pinhead of information is absurd. I think you should rethink your post....

@@ricwilliams664, if that’s the way you feel, fine, you have every right to express that. As I have every right to express my opinion. I think carefully of every post I post, which I did with this one. And I rarely make comments on other people’s posts of this type, regardless of my ‘take’ on it , but this I felt very strongly about. This one I decided to post. I was respectful and honest. If that bothers you I’m sorry for that as I have the highest regard for people that feed, defend, protect, and in anyway serve our country and society. However I stand by my post . Eric, I'm an old timer that has done my share of maintenance welding. 6010 dc rod is my go-to for most repairs. Dirty and rusty metal is less likely to affect the weld and being a quick freeze rod, vertical(can weld downhill)horizontal and overhead welding is much easier and gaps fill well. Doesn't make gorgeous beads, so if appearance and maximum strength is required, grind and cap with 7018. Most folks don't keep their 7018 rod dry enough to work well. 6010 is not effected by moisture. It's called "dirt rod", "farmer rod" or "gap rod" for a reason. On another note, I appreciate your no bs videos. Don't go the "Cole The Corn Star" route. His goofy clickbait bs and made up drama gets old.
