You're one of the only reactors I've seen who recognized when the rains of castemire started playing and knew something was comming
Not to mention the silence at the end, poor Barry. I was full on sobbing the minute they stabbed Talisa in the stomach. I cried for an hour after that episode while my parents laughed at me because they had already seen it once before and knew what was coming
Facts legit one of the only ones
fr. my first watch i didn’t even notice 😭 after rewatching the series i was just like “how did my past summer child-self, not notice all the foreshadowing” even with ned, it’s honestly amazing how you can see every *little* action aligning to create the events we know now
Yeah not everybody does right away...good job.
Right I love the lore so i tried to learn as much lore as possible once I started watching the show but to be honest i kinda started suspecting something when Roose Bolton let Jamie go.
As therapy for Red Wedding trauma, it helps to watch other people suffer through this episode repeatedly.
Lmao
right. this is the episode that makes you one of us for all eternity 😂
Right! I never get tired of watching people watch it
@@tytybaby06 me neither! 😂
@@IAmJustR this episode began my GoT reaction fandom...Out of necessity like an Rx from a doctor! 😂
Man of Winter, rise.
Legenberry will forever be known as one of the best reactors to GOT, for he recognized the Rains of Castomere before the end.
He was watching with subtitles on so idk why he wouldn't know its Rains of Castamere
@@janekfilipowski9119 he made the link, he knew what this song was about, he is invested in the LORE
@@nickbx6009He made link the link because it came up on the subtitles lol.
Here Here! 🍻
@@scottwilson6029 First time I watched I didnt even know what rain of castamere was, it was strange for me to see Catelyn Stark looking at the musicians after the doors were closed, but I didnt link it to the Lannisters
We are SADISTS waiting for this 1 to watch you go thru the pain we all had to endure... sorry, this is now what makes you a MAN OF WINTER. ..
I have been waiting for this episode since I discovered this channel 😁
hear ye, hear ye……
this is not a day of rejoice….but a man has become a Knight of Winter
….The North Remembers
The Undertaker bell kills me every time 😅
I love that he committed to the bit. It’s so funny
made me realize that the hound is basically a walking record scratch
Im NOT Ashamed, I have been waiting for this episode since you dropped the first video 😂
I love you my brother, this is a tough one 🐺❤️🩹
Same lol
Future Barry talking at the beginning over Sweet Summer Child Barry who's innocently yawning during the opening 😅😅😭😭
I wasz laughing my ass of already.
Michelle Fairley deserves an standing ovation for that
This! What a performance
Ohhhh Barry, the LOOOOOOONG silence at the end of your reaction. Oh my. My heart goes out to you. It was traumatising.
He is Us and We are Him.
"Every time I look at this show I think of Roz. Mentally scarring."
Oh, you think that's mentally scarring lmaoooooooooo
had the same thought lol
@@coldbladed +1
Yeah I was like 😬 when he was so hung up on Roz...
@@jordanshepard8919 yeah I was like if Roz is tearing him up this bad then he is going to PASS OUT when he sees the knife enter Talia
@mandarinclemmie Well, he did look like a vet having flashbacks about Nam, so close enough lol.
From the moment he made rob the background after ned died I knew this moment was going to be tough
Me too!!
THIS EPISODE HAD ME IN SHAMBLES ON MY FIRST WATCH!!! I WAS DEVASTATED!!😭😭
When I read it for the first time I nearly put down the book lmao
@@Polo-wk7zl I threw my book all the way against the far wall of my bedroom.
*_«THE RAINS OF CASTAMERE!?»_*
I wonder if he remembers the story about that song though. Would've been cool to include a flashback to when Cersei tells the story to Marge (cause the flashback to the scene with Jaime was cool and I've never seen another reactor remember it).
@@HiuchiKiyokoIf I remember correctly, he mentioned it in the beginning when he saw the title of the episode. He was immediately nervous and mentioned something about Margaery. I think he thought it applied to her because of her convo with Cersei.
Honestly, i wish more reactors would just sit in the silence they wish to, afterwards. Silence can mean so much, it's exactly why there was no end credit music.
Best react award goes to ..☝🏾❤️
On another note, yeah this episode is exactly why you're here doing this react, so it's poetic upon layers.
That’s actually pretty interesting. I never heard someone say “she knew Rob was dead cause they killed the wolf”. Love that analogy. Aweeeee I wanna give u a hug ❤❤❤❤
ygritte was still loyal to the wildlings. when she missed her shot and hit the tree it was because jon called her name and distracted her and she looked back at him and was pissed. then, right before he rode off, he watched her murder an unarmed innocent old man in cold blood. he loved her, but he couldn’t remain with her and stay true to his vows.
😢😭 it's been YEARS and I'm still not over them stabbing that woman's baby in the womb. I remember one of the old heads in my family saw this episode. He just kept yelling "THAT'S A CURSE! YOU CAN'T KILL SOMEONE IN YOUR HOME AFTER YOU OFFER THEM SAFETY AND FOOD!! THAT'S A CURSE!!"
I hope you keep watching. You are one of the best reactors out there
All I can say is kudos to Michelle Fairley. I’ve seen this episode dozens of times now and her performance gives me
goosebumps every damn time.
Oh and that small gentle reaction when they cut Kat's throat spoke so LOUD. Love love love it.
He really thought it was over....
Congratulations 💔
You are now officially a Man of Winter ❄️🐺⚔️
Keep up the epic work 🤩
Man of Winter, I salute you.
11 years on since watching this the night it aired, and it still cripples me no matter how many times I see it. There are VERY few cases of characters which I grew as attached to as I did to Robb and Catelyn. My brain still goes through grief stages and hangs around the bargaining step, contemplating the ability to live in some alternate reality where this story continues with them surviving and reuniting with Arya, and what I would do to make that happen. So painful. So good.
Whatever opinions people may hold about where this show/story goes in its later years, the front half of the series remains a masterclass in storytelling, and cements the series as one of the absolute greatest productions ever to hit TV.
same here man
Couldn't have said it any better.
Robb and Cat were boring characters.
@@nathanpapp432 you're totally right, you've changed my mind lol
@@nathanpapp432 Hope you don't think coming in here to make a rude comment like this makes you somehow interesting. Rude, needy, desperate, boring.
That was every bit as satisfying as I hoped it'd be.
Reaction channels owe so much to this episode. They existed beforehand, but this is what birthed the majority of them, akin to putting fertilizer in your garden and seeing everything pop up left right and center.
Catelyn: "Show them how it feels to lose what they love"
Lannisters: *uno reverse card*
I remember when i got to this point in the book afterwards a threw it into the fireplace, ended up buying it again a week later
A Storm of Swords is one of the best books I have ever read
@@Patriciareadss yeah it was, but that part just broke something in me 🤣
@@TheKonkaman my face went 😓🫢😶😐😐😐😐😐😫😫😫😫
This is what great storytelling does. You have to sit there and truly process it. Thank you for sharing your experience with us.
bro was flabbergasted
Now the real story begins. You made it.
Yeah, everything before was just the tutorial :)
The way i was gleefully waiting for this episode just to watch ur soul shatter....
As much as I was looking forward to this reaction from you, I also knew it would be a really tough watch for you. No words needed, my friend. We all feel your pain😢
I’m so sorry. We’ve all been through it. You’ve paid the blood toll. You’re a man of winter now. I promise you: You will smile again, you will laugh again, you will cheer again. You will jump out of your seat with excitement, and fall in love with characters you still haven’t even met yet. Some of the best days are still ahead of you. Promise. ❌❤
HERE IT IS 😭 The most anticipated episode.
Hurts to see you so happy at the beginning.
Just grinning😂😂😂
"If you think this has a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention." Ramsey Bolton was right.
The silence after the episode was so real
😭😭😭 your long empty, heartbroken silence at the end. I'm sorry, but this was necessary to go through
Barry, my dude, it is very clear it's the first time you're watching. Please ignore the haters. Honestly, if anything, it just shows how much you pay attention. 💕
It hurts like they're real the first time, the story is so good. Anyone who's never experienced a chapter like this in a book, you should try it.
This is like the Super Bowl of GOT reaction videos. We've all been waiting for this lol.
You're so right, as soon as the song kicks on the editing and pacing of the scene get your heart pounding before you even realize what's going on.
The Rains Of Castamere
"And who are you?" The proud Lord said
"That I must bow so low"
Only a cat of a different coat
That's all the truth I know
In a coat of gold or a coat of red
A lion still has claws
Mine are long and sharp, my lord
As long and sharp as yours
And so he spoke, and so he spoke
That Lord of Castamere
But now the rains weep o'er his hall
And not a soul to hear
"And who are you?" The proud Lord said
"That I must bow so low"
Only a cat of a different coat
That's all the truth I know
And so he spoke, and so he spoke
That Lord of Castamere
But now the rains weep o'er his hall
And not a soul to hear
And so he spoke, and so he spoke
That Lord of Castamere
But now the rains weep o'er his hall
And not a soul to hear
and so he spoke
(That Lord of Castamere) Lord of Castamere
(But now the rains) weep o'er his hall
(And not a soul to hear)
And not a soul to hear
RIP the Young Wolf, his mother, his wife, his unborn child, his friends and his father.
The Red Wedding.
Forever young.
I'd tell you the worst is past but I'd be lying.
GoT is the show that keeps on giving.
I never clicked on a video so fast as when this notification popped up.
Jon couldn't bring a wildling with him back to the wall. They would kill her and possibly him as well. Even if they accepted her for some reason, she would be forced to fight against her own kind. And welcome to the Red Wedding, possibly the most brutally shocking moment in fiction.
It was suggested at the time Michelle Fairley lacked enough screen time to submit for award season. But this is such an acting masterclass. I wish she got nominated.
On a lighter note, Rickon would excel at Hogwarts. Family tragedy? Check. Prophetic dream? Check. Pipsqueak? Check.
Red Wedding, Red Wedding, it's not a good time until the beheading...Red Wedding
Perfect way to end the video Barry. What can you say, at that point? Very appropriate reaction.
Your silence is deafening 😂
Absolutely....I was silent with him too knowing exactly what he was feeling...
My king Barry , you one of the first reactors to start feeling unwell and anxious as soon asyou heard and recognized Rayns of Castamere. My respect
After this episode I was crazy mad for a solid 4 hours before falling asleep from misery.... The Impact!
Jon pushed Ygritte to look like he was fighting her and didn’t want to bring her with him in case of endangering her, it’s a long ride to castle black from where they are and if the wildlings find them together they will kill Ygritte. Better to look like he wasn’t working with her and she didn't know he was a crow
The way he started the episode so happy 😢
Been waiting for this one since the start, always special to see people react to the red wedding for the first time.
The sweet summer child has become a man of winter
this episode gave me a whiplash. summer has ended, winter has come, welcome...you've payed the price lmaooo
"A dothraki wedding without at least three deaths is considered a dull affair."
Westeros weddings are a whole vibe then.
I was waiting for this one. Already excited before watching 😂😅
I cannot hide my smile
Welcome to winter
This is the graduation. You are no summer child anymore. Now you are a man of the winter!
In season 1, while talking to John, Sam confessed to have always wanted to be a wizard.
I watched this series without knowing anything about it and when I saw this episode, I actually fucking cried. I loved Catelyn so much. Like I was genuinely mad. It completely ruined my day. Genuine shock and disgust and anger.
The North Remembers
Damn right!
You didn't notice the excitement in the chatter, everybody knowing what was to come. Been waiting ages for this episode.
When I first watched this episode, man. I was having flashbacks to his wife getting stabbed for days. 😅
Catelyn looked like she had died before they even cut her throat.
Bro, Jon leaves Ygritte there for the same reason he knocks her hand out of the way when she's about to shoot an arrow at the other wildlings. Because he's decided it won't work for the two of them. He's still loyal to the Night's Watch, and she doesn't fit in that world, nor would she want to, as she hates the Crows anyway. By not letting her shoot an arrow into Tormund or the others, he makes it more possible for her to return to her people. You know he loves her, because he ripped the band aid off now; it'd be much worse for Ygritte to be estranged from the wildlings AND have Jon eventually leave her at Castle Black, which is what would have happened if he'd gotten her on the horse. He IS a Crow. Hence the line "you were right all along" as he kills old boy with the hawk.
I feel u cuz Ygritte was reaDY to fight for her man....
it was a nice touch including the flashback before Roose put the knife in him, most people completely forget Jaimie said that and don't make that connection
This is the one everyone was waiting for I've seen this so many times and it still hurts even knowing it's coming 💔
recognized rains of castamere = instant subscribe
When I first saw this episode, my mother and boyfriend had already read the books and knew what was coming.
They found it highly entertaining and I was just crying 🙃🖤
You made it to the Red Wedding, brother. You're a man of winter now. 💚
To say "I've been waiting for this reaction" is an understatement. And, man, did you go through it at the end.
This was your OFFICIAL welcome to Game of Thrones.
The very episode that started the whole youtube reaction trend. Even now i get misty watching it. No shame in letting that tear out bro we were all shocked and gutted for a long time after. The fade to black with no music is also chilling to the bone.
This episode never feels less brutal.
Only one word: brutal. This one leaves pretty much everyone speechless, in the worst way possible.l
Aww king Barry and the thug tear at the end 😞. I love future barry as well lol. Love you so excited and shocked giving us a play by play like we haven't seen it. It's like watching a sports commentary on a game .. when you say " Rob is done" I haven't seen her get hit "multiple" aww poor Barry.
If you thought this had a happy ending, you haven’t been paying attention.
Can't believe enough time has passed for people to still be surprised by this. Love it.
That long silence at the end... sending you a virtual hug. RIP Young Wolf
This episode traumatized me the first time I saw it and even now when I see it be hurt 😂😂
when u changed the ned wallpaper to robb wallpaper i laugh so loud, im sorry summer boy, now u feel our pain
I like that you say in the silence. I sat with you and remembered mine, horrible moment but the most shocking moment I’ve ever witnessed.
WE ARE HERE WITH YOU
Oh lawd...here yee here yee.. here we go...
Bro your no longer a sweet summer child and have become a man of winter❤
My sweet summer child is now a man of winter ❄️
Kudos for spotting the ominous Rains of Castamere music 👏
When Gilly says Sam is like a wizard because he can read .. in season one when Jon is chosen to be a steward and Sam is telling him that Joer wants to groom him for command, Jon says I always wanted to be a Ranger and Sam says he always wanted to be a Wizard haha .. and that look on Jorah face when they sack the city I've always thought it was because Dany didn't say anything other than where is Dario .. she shows no emotion of happiness or gratitude and relief that Jorah and Grey Worm are ok.. 👑
"He's a crow. He'll always be a crow. He'll stab us in the back first chance he gets." | "You were right the whole time."
Was hoping you kept Robb as your background. Too bad. 😂😂
Welcome to Winter. The episode had you contemplating hard in the end! Lol
Barry: Here ye, here ye.😁
Me: Oh boy 😳
cant imagine how shocking this was for people who didnt knew this was coming. i think this is one of the biggest what the f moments the books and show have to offer. Great reaction!
I was sitting in silent shock staring at the screen. Then when they got Cat at the end, I screamed bloody murder. That’s what broke my shock.
By the end of this episode, I was on my hands and knees staring at the screen with silent tears running down my face. I couldn’t speak. I went out and bought the books after this episode.
When this episode aired a lot of readers of the books filmed their unsuspecting friends' reaction.
That's what made me watch GoT. I thought this must be one hell of a show if people are so invested in it!
Winter Has Come 🥶❄️🐺
Game of Thrones has given me PTSD for every penultimate episode for every show.
yes aria seeing the wolf die is a representation of rob dying, but in the books all the stark kids are wargs(which is how they're all able to keep wolfs as pets, only bran knows he's a warg tho) and wargs go into their animals when they die, so she did actually also watch her brothers soul die
You must've been speechless for a while with all those cuts at the end lol. I've been looking forwards to this episode for a minute; great reaction as always!
