  • In todays video I introduce you guys to a long awaited reveal. Here is my 2005 Milano Red RSX Type S from Tampa, Florida making an appearance on the channel. I'm very happy to be able to share my experiences and document everything I will be doing to this car. Hopefully you all stay tuned for all the mods coming in the future. Forever blessed to have a dream of owning a car like this come true.
    .
    .
Welcome to the Illusive RSX channel, my name is Nick. I own 2 Rsx's a Silver '06 Base 5 speed manual and a Red '05 Type S. The silver rsx is my daily while the red rsx is my project. I was gifted my silver rsx for my birthday 3 years ago from my brother. My red rsx I just bought from Florida in July of 2022. We drove 20 hours from Wisconsin to Tampa, Florida and the 20 hours back with the car. With that being said I store my red rsx for the Wisconsin winter to preserve its mint Florida condition. This channel will mainly be about the red rsx but during winter I wont be driving it.

Keep the K20 it's the most reliable engine ever made, I've seen them go 400k miles and still running 👍 I sold my 02 type S with 383k miles and now wish I hadn't because I think back and I never had any real problems with it other than regular maintenance. The guy that has it now has passed 450k miles and I was worried it was going break down, those K20 engines are bulletproof and design partly from the legendary F-20C of the Super reliable Honda S2000.

Trust me I'm keeping it as oem as possible. It won't be what you expect. I'm not destroying the car by widebodying or v8 swapping it. I'm keeping it simple and stuff that is reversible if I want to make it stock again

I'm looking forward to the progress on this one. I'm old enough to be your biological father, lol, but I bought my '05 type-s in June of 2018. I paid less than half of what you paid, but that was before 2020 and all of that mess. It had 127K when I bought it. I did not even bat an eye at the mileage because it is after all a Honda. A well maintained Honda at that. As of today I have about the same exact mileage as yours. I bought mine from my parent's best friend's middle son. He was probably the 3rd owner. Some of the things I wanted to do were already done on this car. I was going to install a cold air. Already had an Injen cold air intake with the window washer fluid relocated. I wanted to do exhaust, but it already had the now discontinued Greddy catback exhaust. So, I sent it off to Hondata for a reflash. I could of done the whole Ktuned or Hondata tuneable version, but I just wanted the reflash. I have upgraded the rotors and brakes and am about to put on a type-r wing this holiday weekend. Anyway, enough about me. Once again I can't wait to see what you do with your Type-s.

That is an incredibly clean Type-S. I’m the third owner of a 2003 pearl white Type-S, also with 150,000 miles on it. Unfortunately for me mine originated from and spent the majority of its years in the dry heat of Texas, no rust, but most of the plastic and rubber, as well as the leather Interior is absolutely trashed. The drivers seat has a massive tear in the bottom bucket, and getting aftermarket replacement seat leather will be upwards of $600 or more to replace just for the front seats, plus it’s tan, meh. I’ve owned it since 2013 and bought it with 70,000 miles on it. It’s been an amazing car, looks great, fun to drive, super easy to work on. I get offers to buy it pretty regularly. Hope you enjoy yours, it looks very nice!

Much love man. It's hard finding good examples of rsx's nowadays. Mine spent the majority in the garage thankfully in florida but some of the trim did get pretty faded. I used some trim restorer and it looks a lot better. Was only about $20. The trim on this car is getting expensive unfortunately so that would be out of the question to me to replace them all. I'd recommend trying that. Trust me man never sell it. You could flip an rsx and it would still run like the day it came off the lot (ok not really but you get the point). Ever since I got my silver rsx I've been in love. It's just so unique at least by me and a super driver oriented car. Can never get enough of it

ABS will kick in prematurely but just daily driving it feels the same. Just for peace of mind I replaced them with the Type r brembos

From much research and consideration I know they don't make a lot if any difference over the stock brakes. 12k…. At this rate we might as well forget about ever owning our favorite Hondas and Acuras.

It's a sad reality but at the end of the day save up for something nice. I'm only 19 so I was never old enough to see the market for Hondas and acuras be needless to say low so I was just used to spending money on everything. The truth is the the older the car the more it's worth nowadays

2006 type s 56k mileages clean car. Asking 18k for it. Is it good deal ?

Dont get me wrong 56k miles is really low for an rsx. At the end of the day its your money so if you can reason spending 18k on a clean rsx I think you should.
