  • If you are thinking about purchasing a table saw, watch this video first. Lemon alert: Don't buy the same one I did.

Thanks for your review. It might have saved me from also having the same troubles as it taught me the lesson to not buy a TS from a company that will not back what they are selling! Cheaper is not always better as can lead to more headaches.

My Grissley came with a stand. I foolishly placed the whole unit on a plywood platform with casters. Used this unstable table saw for years. Finally pushed the ( non running) saw until it hit an obstruction and it flipped over. It landed up side down, the fence prevented any damage. No one hurt very little saw damage. I built a very stable low center of gravity platform. However scared the $hit out me.
I use my saw for non precision cutting. I agree with your criticism.

I was looking at buying a similar saw from Grizzly. Sorry for your terrible experience with this company but thanks for sharing. Even if this was an isolated case, the customer service is unacceptable. I’ll be steering clear of these guys.

Thanks for checking out the video. I finally was able to get this resolved with Grizzly and sent the table saw back and they refunded my money.

I noticed the noise from the miter slot disappeared. All miter gauges are trash from the factory. I dont think grizzly sells a upgrade. Your fence is probably off because you are locking it all the way down like a barbarian. It blows my mind how you keep shaming this company because you cant set it up properly. If you spent the time working on the saw to tune it. That you spent talking bad about it. You would have a nice machine.

Hello. Thank you for the reply. I see that you responded to both videos. I appreciate your feedback, and as I said in the video, I really hope that the one I got was a fluke. I have heard good things about this saw from others, and I'm glad that some (or most) people have a good experience with theirs. As far as the miter gauge, yes, they are not good from the factory. But perhaps people can't always afford to upgrade theirs when they have spent so much on a saw that they had to budget for.
It seems to me that Grizzly should give one with the saw that you can use for the time being.
In regard to the fence, if I snug it down the same on both sides, why would it change from one side to the next? You state that I shame the company because I can't set it up properly, but if you watched the video, my concern with the miter slots is the poor machining. Their are deep grooves in the miter slots that a little tune up isn't going to fix. You mentioned about the noise disappearing, but that's an editing adjustment. I also don't see a tune up that will fix the flimsy metalwork. The entire saw torques (the metal) when a little pressure is applied, such as sending a piece of wood through. This is a big safety problem.
As I said, I really hope that this is a fluke that I was given. But seeing as it's my experience, and the company was so difficult for me to work with, that's what I have to go on. And I do mention that in the videos. Anyway, thank you for your comments. I truly hope you continue to have good experiences with this company.
