Hand carved opal, tools to use and rough opal stones.

This video is a basic overview of the tools I use for hand cutting opal. Of note in the first section is the worn down whetstone used to grind down over 60 rough opal, these were the very first opals I have ever cut. The second section shows a selection of rough opal stones that were purchased in a lot. The rough stones are weighed as a group and two as individuals, the rough weight will be compared to what the polished stones weigh when they are finished.
