My dad used to say "oops, creaky floorboards" or "hey! found the frogs!". My middle brother would let go SBD's, (or Silent But Deadlys) and my baby brother would "let Fluffy off the chain". Aaah, childhood memories of letting one go. What a wonderful conversation 🤣🤣. Cute little table. Toner for the printer, that was funny.

You could easily use some small wooden dowels cut down into pegs. Leaving that cribbage board was a bad move. They sell really well, are pretty uncommon and you could have cut and painted dowels easily for like 3 bucks. If you really wanted them to look nice stain them. I bet you could of got 30 bucks at least for that board all loved up!
