Very cool. My buddies used to "borrow" logs from beaches. They call them beach poles. And they make excellent support structures for small buildings like this. Apparently the high salt content in the wood from being lost at sea for so long really helps them weather the elements.
I helped my dads buddy build one when I was in high school. That was 45 years ago. It is still there. Used motor oil around the posts set in the ground kept them from rotting.
All the chainsaw nicknames made me LOL. 🤣 Filming while you work makes everything take longer... 2-3x longer. Because you have to do the work of a film crew, in addition to the project. Then you have to sit in front of a computer for several hours, editing all the footage.
Ha! I hoped you would see it 😁 While I haven’t yet done the full meal deal resto on either of the hammers you entrusted to me, my boys and I have definitely gotten a lot of use out of them both. I haven’t yet got a forge set up but my 10 year old loves to take one or the other of those hammers and a nail or piece of copper tubing over to the anvil and bang away until he has something he’s proud of.
