Thank you really much. You give such a big picture of any career:
    1. Inclusion: Get in the door (technical skills/mastery skills)
    2. Influence: Get a seat in the table (relationships, belonging)
    3. Impact: Get out side of the building to make the world a better place (vision)

Love her energy in delivering the talk so smoothly. It shows her lifetime of dedication to the purpose making others successful. It never too early to start envisioning your life, the earlier you get that done, the higher you soar, above all negativity, like the Eagle.

I really appreciated the talk. I am doing an assignment for my career development and I’m following this model. I call it a model already 😀. However I think there’s should be links for the research’s she mentioned so I could prove my arguments when I refer to problems such as the women network for example.
Very useful information. Thank you Ms Moss Kanter

She is right about what is missing for minorities is having the contacts/network to help you get a seat at the table, and our home communities not understanding what we have to do to make those contacts.

Get involved in formal standardization activities. Find your national standardization body, the technical committees working on standardization projects in your industry/service sector and volunteer to them (standardization work is always voluntary). And boom! You find your seat at the table. You can develop your network. And you can make your voice have an impact in the world.
