BMW 750i 750Li N63 vacuum leak multiple cylinder misfire drivetrain malfunction check engine light

    this process is going to be similar to all BMWs with N63 engines
    750i 750Li 550i 650i X5 X6 50i
    engine vacuum leaks are very common to find on BMW N63 engines since the have multiple components made out of plastic and this can crack over the time causing intake manifold leak and as consequence misfires and low power.
    wiring problem
    low fuel pressure
    injector failure
    sensor failure
    timing incorrect
    defective or broken engine
    bad shifting solenoids
    low transmissions oil pressure
    transmission oil leaks
    transmission sensor problems
    etc,...

    Hey Francisco. I just wanted to add that you should buy genuine BMW CCV hoses. I bought the less expensive Rein parts and that created a troubleshooting nightmare. This issue was on both sides as i tested each individually. After i installed the Rein hoses, i began to notice what sounded like a bad belt tensioner. It turned out to be excessive crankcase vacume at idle. It was so strong, it was sucking in air through the rear main seal. This lead me to removing the valve covers and replacing the oil separators which was suggested by bmw mechanic. After 2 weekends of that work. I ended up with the same issue. I then replaced the CCV hoses with genuine BMWs and the problem was gone. Lesson Learned. Dont cheap out on parts. If you can afford a BMW, you should be able to afford proper parts.

      I'm exactly in your situation. I bought pair of Rein CCV hoses but I have still same problem multi misfire in cylinders 1,4,5. If you're still satisfied with the result please let me know so I also buy genuine BMW CCV hoses.Thanks

      @@naderdana0 hey Nader. I didn't have misfires, just excessive vacuum in the crankcase. If you are getting misfires, you may still have a vacuum leak somewhere. My car ran fine, it just was sucking air in through the rear main seal.

      @Rockardo_ maybe so, but I had the same issue on both banks and they are 2 different part numbers. Maybe a bad run but I will spend the extra $ on genuine BMW moving foward.

    Hi, Francisco!
    You videos are great support as usual!
    Most of my issues were resolved by fixing the vacuum issue.
    Only one pain is left. Mixture control 2: mixture too rich(BimmerLink)
    Vacuum fixed, air mass sensors cleaned and swaped. Error still popping up from time to time.
    Your advise will be appreciated. Thanks in advance

    Another great video. I purchased the cheaper PCV breather hose from FCP and noticed an increase of oil pooling on my turbo seal (orange ones). I went back to the stock OEM option. Isn't this a problem? I know some people go to a catch can system to prevent this.

    The new hoses/pipes are rubber instead of plastic so aren't as brittle. All that heat from the nearby turbos still degrades these, though not as much.

    Question for you I have a BMW 750Li xDrive I have several misfire after a tune up it was not like before he change my spark plugs. I got some ignition coil to see if that is the issue

    I have had my BMW Xdrive50i n63 4.4 TT @ local bmw service centre . I was having engine light & drivetrain malfunction warnings .
    - I was told initially it was injectors - had them replaced $3000 for just parts
    - then they said now it PCV VALVE & hoses
    - then next was , throttle body , map sensor .
    - now it’s the intake manifold apparently.. looks like pin holes have been caused by extreme heat & pressure as it’s pushed the plastic out pressure has popped the plastic out - it’s melted also

    I have a 2009 750i BMW 77000 mi. This is my first V8 so I'm not sure what the engine should feel like but it seems just a little vibrating. Is this normal?

    My bank 1 pcv hose busted. Misfire on all 4 on bank 1. Replaced BOTH cuz the other one was just stating to leak. Deleted everything, reset everything. Went thru all modules. Everything is narrowing down. Cyl. 1 misfire, inlet-camshaft position sensor no signal, both flip back and forth between intermittent and permanent. I’ve fixed the pcv hoses, changed plugs, coils are fine. Runs rough, limp mode is gone but I have 0 boost. Like I start driving, doesn’t pickup at all, even foot to the floor. Brakes are hard to stop (booster is out) looking for my next leak.

    Amigo por favor dame una idea, yo mismo estoy tratando de resolver el asunto de los Multiple Missfires, cambie las bujías y desde ahí empezó el problema, he probado varias calibres (actualmente el gap es de 0.020").
    Me podrías orientar en cuál es el spark plu gap correcto? Tengo un N63 doble turbo en mi X5 XDirive 50ia M Sport.

    Hi, i owned a facelifted e66 v8 2006 750li, i ve been driving it for few years never really had any issue but 1 and this issue keep happening but it never actually cause any real problem to the car so i kinda ignore it, but it still bothering me and im not sure what cause the issue , hope u can help me out. I live in VietNam South East Asian country , the traffic here is quite slow so most the time i drive with speed under 30 miles/hour. This issue only happen after i start the engine and drive for 10-15 minus, and it mostly happen when i start driving uphill and slowly accelerate from around 25 miles/ h to 35 miles/h and that is when the car start a series of vibration/ shaking that i feel like it come from under/below the car. The vibration/shaking come in waves, it vibrating for like 2 seconds and then stop for like 0.5 sec and then vibrate again 2 secs and repeat few times. When i almost reach the top of the hill , it stop. I really confuse about this and its been happening for years and no mechanic in my city can actually figured out the issue correctly. Please help me out on this , thank u so much.

    I dont get what he says you have to do with the pcv valve BEFORE I start the engine after they are replaced. I have tried multiple times but cannot understand what he says, sorry😔
