I agree with what you are saying. Admittedly that was not the best decision. Normally I’m always connected ascending and descending the tree. I just got caught up in the moment trying to hurry up and put another arrow in the animal.
On your pull-up rope if you put your carabiner on the arm of your bow hanger you can snap it on your bow with one hand instead of trying to pull it back up using your mouth like that! I think it would be much faster and easier!

Hardly say he was quickly dispatched. U had to get out of stand lower bow all that takes time. No animal deserves to suffer. Plus u never even seemed sad that the buck suffered but u got ur biggest buck to date no matter the cost. Congratulations

Show me a perfect hunter and I’ll show you a liar. Stuff happens. The best archers around mess up sometimes or have tricky situations.
I agree. Terrible first shot but it happens. I can tell you that deer expired faster than most that are either single lung or liver shots that still look like “good shots”

I need to show my brother this cause he always makes fun of me for only being like 13 feet off the ground with my three xop sticks.
Lots of people think you have to get way up in a tree. Sometimes it helps. Buy most you don’t need it. We kill lots of deer 9-16 feet up.
