{Extreme Thrash} HA13 gets floored to its limits on its first day operating Superloop Route SL1

- The SL1 is London’s newest Superloop addition and runs between North Finchley and Walthamstow Central via the A406 North Circular Road using existing HAs from Route 78. It’s stopping equivalents are Route 221 from Finchley to New Southgate, and then Route 34 the whole way down to Walthamstow.
On its first day, this driver absolutely put this particular E400H City to its limits and maxed it out as he sailed along the A406, he was overtaking and outpacing cars and swerving in and out of lanes - nothing but a top tier run! He was 13 minutes early when we got to Walthamstow and 6 minutes early back at AD! This was filmed on his last half run before his break or sign off so it was expected!! (Annoyed with the fact he had to changeover at Palmers Green but we move)
The SL1 is definitely up there being one of the best Superloop routes. It’s also nice and quick because drivers can do 45-50mph for pretty much 3/4 of its route and you can get from North Finchley to Walthamstow within 35-40 minutes if A406 traffic doesn’t stiff you up!

I like it! Yes, this driver wasn't playing any games. Definitely the best superloop experience I've had out of all them. SL1 tops the lot for me.
The number of videos I've seen from the other bus channels, including this one about this route has convinced me to do the route later on during the week. It will also be my first time going on a superloop. I just hope the traffic around Walthamstow and through the A406 doesn't ruin it. Nice video bro 👍🏾👊🏾
Go for it but honestly, I'd say go on a weekend. A406 traffic on weekdays can sometimes be so bad its not worth sitting it for 2 hours...
@NWLDNBusGuy oh its fine. I did the route yesterday around 2 pm, and there was pretty much no traffic at all. Got some good thrash 👍🏾
Lovely, i have to say tfl did a good job on SL1 aswell as most north west londoners can get to walthamstow more quickly
Very much so. Better and quicker than the 34 which gets busy very easily and has to use slip roads.

SL1 is literally a cheat code to solve the 'Walthamstow to Edmonton' rush hour...
It is, especially because it bypasses most of the areas prone to traffic. The SL1 is definitely the best out of the Superloop bunch. If you have a quick driver, its even more of a cheat code haha

Wow that's sick, I was questioning the point of this route as the 34 follows most of it but it is a lot of fun
Honestly I think SL1 is a W, one of the better Superloop routes. I think it will allow passengers to balance out between the 34 and the SL1 itself, however you’re guaranteed a good run on this route if you have the right driver!
