    Really great tips on line weight, shadow, turning off the trolling motor and drifting. All the things that spook fish.

    This was a very good "episode." Almost 4 decades of fishing and never thought about the drifting shadow... not at those distances. Saltstrong: fishing better every day!

    Any pot holes on the flats for trout there? I’ve done better on those at pine island for trout at least. But I’m a still a newbie.

    Problem with a bite tippet is that the double uni or blood knot often catches debris, like algae, grass, etc. A bite tippet is a good idea if you fish where the water is devoid of that stuff. To me going from 20 to 30 lb test isn't worth the added knot and likely headache.

    You should do a fishing trip to Europe to show how your tips work anywhere. I suggest my country: Portugal.

    Can I ask..... why are you 2 continually cross lining? One goes left, the other goes right.. .

    • @Saltstrong
      @Saltstrong  Před 11 měsíci +1

      It isn't much of an issue when one angler's line is closer to the boat or if you're fishing with someone you consistently hit the water with. You get a feel for where each other's lines are and avoid tangles.

    I love all of y’all’s content, has definitely helped out my game a bit. But I’ve got a question, why don’t y’all have any baitcaster reviews or talks? I use both spin and bait and they both work, but I was just wondering. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one used either.

    • @jakup10
      @jakup10 Před 2 lety

      They are all about some spinning gear. It is a lot easier to cast light lures further
