  • Title: Electric Fan | Toggle Switch vs Temperature Sensor | Both?
Welcome back to the channel! In today's video, we're diving into the world of electric fans and exploring the benefits of using both a toggle switch and a temperature sensor to control a Derale high output 2-speed fan.
First, we'll be pulling out the pre-existing American Volt 14-gauge harness and reinstalling a more robust Derale 12-gauge harness for our radiator fan. This upgrade is essential for handling the increased power demands of our high-performance fan.
Next, we'll discuss the pros and cons of using a toggle switch versus a temperature sensor for fan control. A toggle switch offers manual control, allowing you to turn the fan on and off at will. On the other hand, a temperature sensor automates the process, activating the fan only when the engine reaches a certain temperature. But what if you could have the best of both worlds? We'll show you how to set up both controls, giving you ultimate flexibility and peace of mind.
And a special shoutout to Ed, who is still recovering from a recent surgery but continues to be a vital part of our video production. Despite the challenges, he's here making sure we bring you the best content possible.

I have two fans in my 89 vette with a pro charger and what i used was a dakota digital pac-2750 module you set the fans to come on at what temp you want and go off at the temp you want and you can set the timer to run the fans up two 5 minutes after you shut the car off. Set it forget it.

@@williamdogali3215 Thx you. You know I was just thinking about looking into more of a control activation after I published the video. I’ll look into the Dakota you have on yours. 🍻
