Dumb and Dumber is a really special movie. It's not just a stupid comedy. It's about unbreakable friendship. Harry and Lloyd have each other in a world that is too serious about everything.They live how they want to live and do what they wanna do in a world that expects you to also be serious. To me, this movie is a message about life. Do what you want in this world and don't let anyone tell you it's wrong thing If you believe in it, do it. Don't take life too seriously.
Well said, I feel Lloyd certainly wants more in life and thats why Harry needs him because Harry can get sad very easily and is a bit of a wimp. Where as Lloyd had a decent job as a limoceene driver, Harry was stuck doing Mutt Cutts. On the other hand though, Harry is the better person because he at least doesnt try to con or break the rules to get out of situations like Lloyd does. Still they have and need one another. This song is so sad. Lloyd didn’t get to be with Mary. Nor did Harry. That was the whole point of their trip. And now they have no purpose. This song is also sad, because of the nostalgia it makes you feel. How meaningful life was long ago. Your first time ever watching this movie. How beautiful the desert looks at the end of the movie. What it was like to be a kid. Just reminiscing over the past and the good ol’ days. And how sad it is, that you’ll never ever feel that way again... 😔 0:00
I didn't grow up in the 90s, but this was a film my sister and my parents used to occasionally watch when I was younger. Until I was old enough to watch it. The consistent ticking sound in this piece is like a metaphor how time passes so quickly. Especially childhood, how that's such a short time in ones life and it should be cherished. This soundtrack takes me back to the early and late 2000s. A golden time to be a kid 😔

It’s a great little piece.... I recall they had just had, what seemed like, the worst day ever and this fitted the scenario perfectly. I would do the VHS rewind thing too lol.

Once where they've had a rough day at work, been fired and are now down on their luck. and Again at the end of the movie where even though they (unintentionally) helped getting Bobby back to Mary , they didn't gain anything out of it , kind of sad in a way. These are 2 guys just had an incredible road trip adventure that anyone would love to be apart of and are still left with nothing, but they still have each other. To me though it does reflect a much simpler time in alot of peoples lives I knew back then when plenty of people did have opportunities and money to enjoy life a little bit, as these days its a bit of a struggle to get by each day. I almost sympathise with Harry and Lloyd now in a way! But lets be happy these moments happened and not be sad that it didn't :)

So. this happened: I was watching the movie, I've always loved this music, I *shazamed* it, and shazam told me this song was by some other musician called "yung cortex"......... I searched for it, it was like a remix or something. I couldn't find the original version anywhere, had to do a little bit of research to find this. Credits to Todd Rundgren aren't given anywhere. I don't have a good feeling about this.
Yep. very confused about this. Unless I'm missing something, "yung cortex" made a remix that consisted almost entirely of Todd's own composition and is making money off of it with absolutely no credit/mention of Todd Rundgren. wtf?
